Hi,
My Fenix discharges very quickly. 20% per day without GPS workouts and without AOD. That's relatively high compared to my Epix 47mm.
Does anyone else have the same problem?
I hope that this will be fixed with the next firmware update.

Our engineers are still investigating battery drain concerns associated with the Fenix 8. They would like to point out many things that are expected to increase battery drain beyond the estimated days…
Update September 25, 2024:
Our engineers have discovered an issue that was causing incident detection to remain after, after being used in an activity. This was causing a significant increase in the battery…
Hi Laurie,
Already shared these informations with you weeks ago, enabled logging, still no reliable fix on Garmin's end. Should we trust the brand at all?
I understand the items list you have above…
Same problem here, with fenix 8 51mm amoled.
PulsOxy Setting -> manuel
AOD off
Gesture Mode on with 4Sec
No GPS activities etc.
Display Off overnight / Red Shift on Touch
Bluetooth Connection to iPhone
Issue…
Yes, the battery drains even when not wearing the watch.
Anyway, some of these tips are ridiculous:
Turn on the battery saver feature from the controls menu (Controls). I dont buy the watch to be in battery…

my Fenix 8 51mm was updated to 11.90 and now is draining battery at about 20% a day. It's during night time (sleep) it seems to drain more. Since the last charge I have used it only for two GPS activities both less than one hour. Earlier prior to 11.90 when I had just got the device it did around 25 days per charge with more than 10 activities with GPS but now this. Anyone else know why? and how to correct. I have done a hard reset and all.
Try signing up to beta programme. It has helped mine a bit but every time I connect it to an external HR monitor it starts draining afterwards very quickly.
hard reset also seems to help.
Same issue with my watch. My wife is also facing the same problem. My 51mm battery is only lasting for 4-5 days and 43mm one is only lasting 2 days. It is frustrating.
I guess? U both have connected som bluetooth devices to the watch? I have the same problem when I connect a coros armstrap hr sensor to the watch. Garmin are now monitoring my watch. If they casolve this in a few weeks (I have had this problem for a month now) I will claim money back and switch to Coros. I been with Garmin for about 20 years but this is over the top of customer fraud
feel they test the product on us end users. Sorry for the hard words
We have been using the chest strap since the beginning. The problem started just now a week ago. I hope they are able to fix this bug and address this issue for their loyal customers.
Did you try un-pairing the chest straps, and doing a soft reset (hold upper left button for 30 seconds) to see if that solves the problem?
I have had small random battery drains over the last few weeks but nothing massive.
I have updated the firmware to 12.19 beta, charged yesterday roundabout 3pm to 100% and it's still on 100 this morning.AOD off ,battery saver on overnight, pulse ox on overnight.
Dont know if it's corrected now, will see how it goes over the next few days.
Same problem, battery drain only happened after connect my external hr monitor
