Hello i didnt find the option to enable battery save mode in sleep configuration? has Garmin delete this feature?

I have a few ECGs in the Connect App from a couple of years ago.

I do not know how to access it on my watch.

I cannot find the app on the watch and can't find it in the IQ store to re-download it.

I'd appreciate tips.

Fenix 8 most syncing sleep data to connect as of April 18

My fénix 8 watch is tracking sleep fine but as of 18 April it is no longer syncing to the connect app. I have firmware 21.39. I’ve reset watch, app, turned them on and off and everything in between. Please help.

End of support Garmin Express on Apple silicon macs ?

Apple is terminating support of intel compiled application on Apple silicon (Rossetta 2), but garmin is not providing apple silicon compiled versions (Garmin Express / Garmin Basecamp).

Bug Report: Stamina Data Field Graphic Mismatch

Issue Description

There is a significant graphical discrepancy on the "Stamina" data screen. The real-time numerical stamina value does not align with the visual progress bar displayed below it.

Observations (Based on attached photo)

Displayed Value: 15%
Progress Bar: Shows approximately 40-50% fill.
Potential Stamina: 49%
Analysis: The progress bar appears to be incorrectly tracking the Potential Stamina (49%) instead of the actual Stamina (15%), or the graphic is failing to refresh alongside the numerical data.

Steps to Reproduce

Start an activity (indoor cycling for me) with the Stamina data screen enabled.
Reach a fatigue level where "Actual Stamina" is significantly lower than "Potential Stamina."
Observe the default Stamina data page.

Expected Result

The filled portion of the progress bar should accurately reflect the numerical value of the current Stamina (15%), appearing nearly empty.

Actual Result

The bar remains roughly half-full, mirroring the "Potential" metric instead of the "Actual" one, making the visual gauge misleading.

Quatix 8 Pro LTE / SAT does NOT work at all

Hi guys,

I just bought Quatix 8 Pro last week and enabled inReach Premium sub. Went for a hike over the weekend and was trying to send a test message using Messenger via sat. I did find the satellite, locked the position, the message had status "sending" but it has always failed to send. I have tried multiple times. Could have died already lol. Glad it was a test but yes, here we go, things are not working as they should. When I came back from hike I tried to see if LTE is working - it does not. It never finds and locks onto LTE connection - it flashes all the time like it would be searching... I am only able to send a message when my watch is paired via BT with my iPhone.

I am running latest 21.41 official FW.

Thoughts? I am from Poland.

Spectator LiveTrack messages delayed

I amhaving an issue with LiveTrack spectator messages, the spectator messages don’t come through until about 30 minutes after the run, and this happens every time. The LiveTrack tracking itself updates correctly during my runs, so my phone seems to be connected to my watch just fine.

Since a week, maybe two weeks ago, i can't see the map in the activity - it shows just blank. If i drill down to the activity, I can see black route and not the speed/colored one.

Hello,

i've been using my Edge 850 solar for a while and recently i've switched to Garmin Fenix 8 watches.

Everything is great, but how do i calculate my Edge cycling workouts with Fenix watch? I want them to be included in body battery, stress stats, but they are not.

Both devices updated to latest version via usb and synced to ios Connect app. Workouts from both devices are shown in the Connect app, but on Fenix i can see only what i've recorded with Fenix- no cycling data, no stress, no battery data.

I've read post where people said, they record everything on Fenix and discard ride on edge, but i doubt this is the proper way of doing it.

How do i cross-sync data from my Garmin devices? Is that even possible? If not, this is a very strange move, Garmin.

Since release, the Fenix 8 has been plauged with problems. Garmin is either unwilling or unable to get the software to a place where bugs are few and users are happy. For over a year we have been begging Garmin to adjust the auto dim brightness. Garmin's answer? Telling us it is by design, too bad so sad. Meanwhile many people are unable to even read their watch face depending on ambient light at a given time. Absolutely insane for a device that I paid $1200 for. In addition, Garmin introduces new bugs with every update they do release, including the current Garmin Expresss connection issue which Garmin hasn't been able to resolve for over a month now.

I've never seen a company so inept in maintaining their own software. They should be embarrassed and their support staff who communicate on here should be much more transparent and compassionate to their customers who paid a small fortune for a broken watch.

This experience has left such a sour taste that I'll never give Garmin another dime. I can't rely on their engineers to put out a stable product. I have already steered away many friends from Garmin. Hopefully others are doing the same. I'm also going to discuss my experience with Garmin on social media. Only with reputation damage and loss of business will Garmin ever look to improve.

Fw 22.28- Missing notifications and calls

New Notifications bug in 21.39

In addition to the continuing problem of the fenix 8 restarting itself when deleting notifications, I've noticed that it will delete multiple notification when only one is selected.

If I open Notfications and expand the list of notifications, I can delete them one at a time BUT when I delete the second to last notification, it also deletes the last notification. If I start by deleting the last notification, I can work my way in reverse order up the list and delete them all one-by-one with no problem. This bug only occurs while going through the list in the normal top-to-bottom fashion and only when I delete the second to last item.

This is all, of course, if the watch makes it through the deletions without restarting itself.

Hello Garmin,

Hoping you can help me here. Yesterday I took delivery of a F8P MicroLED. Setup from scratch, downloaded 21.41 firmware and charged to 100%. Downloaded the YouTube Music app and downloaded a playlist. I noticed the battery was draining several percent per hour. I restarted the watch and it seemed to correct the issue. This morning did a strength training activity for about 2hrs. I have lost 40% of battery life since I charged last night. So 40% battery in 24hrs. It seems after the activity (which was ended) causes excessive battery drain afterwards.

Is this a bug? Please advise before I consider returning the watch. Thank You

Training plan cannot be synchronized

Hi, my f8 cannot load workouts for running planned by training plan. Finished activities are synchronized, no trainings available at f8 device. Tried to get them via mobile app and via Garmin Express too. What is the issue please?

I am running software version 21.39, and have had issues with booting the watch after an automatic update after purchase. What I am experiencing now is connection issues with the connect app, which weren't a problem when I first startied using the watch. Also it is turning off even though there is plenty of battery left on the watch. Anyone having issues with the watch turning off unexpectedly?

Hi,

The phone app on Garmin Fenix 8 seems to be broken. The watch is connected to Samsung Galaxy Flip 7 FE.

I get the notification for incoming calls and when i pick up the call via the watch, the phone keeps ringing and the call evetually goes unanswered.

For outgoing calls via the watch, no calls actually go through.

3rd issue is with contacts- when adding a new contact via the watch, it says add in Gatmin Connect. However, Garmin Connect does not get triggered. When Garmin Connect is active on the phone and if I click on Add contacts then the contacts in Garmin Connect are shown.

I have tried restarting both the watch and the mobile phone. Also, removed and readded the permissions for Garmin Connect. But no luck!

Fenix 8 not reconnecting after phone airplane mode (notifications & music issue)

Hi all,

I’m experiencing an issue with my Fenix 8.

When I go to sleep, I usually put my phone in airplane mode. In the morning, I turn airplane mode off on the phone, but the watch does not receive notifications anymore. Also, in the music app on the Fenix 8, it shows a message asking me to open the music app on the phone.

It seems like the watch is not properly reconnecting to the phone after the phone exits airplane mode.

I’ve already tried removing the watch from the phone’s Bluetooth settings and setting it up again from scratch using Garmin Connect, but the issue persists.

The only workaround I’ve found is to toggle airplane mode on the phone (turn it on and then off again). I’ve even created a shortcut for this, since I have to do it every morning.

Has anyone else experienced this or found a proper fix?

Fenix 8 does not show USB connectivity in Solar Intensity

My fenix 7x Pro Sapphire Solar shows USB connectivity in it's Solar Intensity view on Garmin Connect (app and web). This was a good way for me to see the last time I charged the watch. The fenix 8 51mm Solar does not seem to transmit that information to Garmin Connect. Is this an oversight? See the pics below.
