How to install and configure NoFrills

Please post any issues, questions and / or suggestions you have here and I will assist as best I can.

  • I cant sleep due to a longer than usuak afternon nap, so I made more selfguided tests.

What always "restaurates" the 'small clock fonts' in the app settings is power cycling, so I guess that losing the connection between the watch and the GC app is the key in this mistery.

I hope you can figure out why

If you need me in testing, just write down what sequence I should go through.
  • In the morning I made even more tests and sorry t osay that I almost misled you. It seems that you were right, even keeping the continuous contact between the watch and the GC app, the clock font size of thewatch watch tends to be stuck at the small one. Sometimes already after the first instance of high power mode.

Maybe yesterday I was just simply lucky, because today the average number of consequent proper behaviour of the clock font size was between 2 and 3.

What I still can confirm is that the clock font size settings of the watchface is automatically updated.
  • I figured out last night that if something happens during a high-power cycle when the seconds are shown with the small font layout, like a notification coming through, or you entering another screen like a widget, then it won't return to the big font layout when you return to the watch.
I already have a fix in place but need to resolve another issue regarding users complaining about the settings in Express being unreadable and garbled.
  • Confirmed.
On my F3HR pushing the following buttons during a high-power mode prevents the return to the big fonts: Up, Down, Start/Stop.
Pushing Light and Back/Lap has no effect on it.

I released a new version which I believe fixes the issue with the font layout not restoring correctly as well as the NoFrills settings issue in Express.
Please install and let me know if it works.
  • It works flawlessly. Tested with Up, Down, Staet button pushes, also sending an Sms to myself when the watch was in high power mode. Smart notification did nott confuse the watch. I even modified twice the settings of the watchface and saved it, while the watch was showing the seconds. The latter gave me ambigous results, but maybe I just overlooked sonething.

Thanks a lot for your assistance in reporting the issue and testing the fix!

Can you please provide me with more details about the current firmware version as well as the CIQ version on your watch?
You can find that in the watch's settings under About and Software (Not sure what the exact menu path is on your device, but look for About and Software version or something similar)

Also please let me know what language is configured for your device.
