Watchface: Glance

Hello,

as far as I’m concerned, stock colors are perfectly fine. RGB colors are too cumbersome for me and never look like they are on the computer screen, so it’s always a lot of trial and error to get them almost right.

On other watch faces, I’ve tried many times to obtain via RGB the tint of yellow I have on the Enduro bezel and it has always been a complete failure.

Although not a priority to me, adding new colors to the list might be ok if you feel like.

Really nice and very well made. I only have one "thing", but as none mentioned it so far it seems I'm really in minority:

When setting the time to display without the colon (:) it's all great for the actual time display but the sunrise/sunset times still have the colon in them.

In the Garmin stock watch faces when the time is set to "military" format all the other time related fields (leading zeros and no colon) follow like sunrise/sunset, second time, etc.

So you have any plans to do the same or something similar (like a general switch) for all the time related fields and not only the main time field?

I'm not sure about this one. Colon serves as an indicator of time, so a metric is instantly recognized as time. Without colon it looks like a number. It is ok for the time as it is usually bigger, but for metrics I prefer to keep colon.

Man, everyday I'm more satisfied with your Watchface. 

Just 2 questions..

Do you think this Watchface uses more battery juice than stock ones? The battery consumption depends on the data displayed? I ask it just to understand how it works.

Second question, do you think it's possible to add one more Time zone, time zone 1 and time zone 2? And is it possible to add a custom time zone name (like Zulu) before the time? Unfortunately the limit of stock watchfaces is to set just one time zone when in time zone widget I can set many of them.

Possible, but these are a single sport dedicated metrics that would be better in a widget. If you use my Universal Widget Pro, I can add it there. Let me know.

I meticulously designed and tunned the app to avoid all unnecessary calculations, so it does only what is needed for the current settings. I get reports from users confirming that the battery life is on par with stock watch faces, even though my app can have a lot more metrics than most stock ones. To visibly improve battery life even further, disable "Seconds always on".

Second custom TIME is already added in "Glance Pro". There is also a Custom Text metric that you can use as a label - otherwise label won't fit in a field.

However, I suggest you use one of my Universal Widgets for second time - they do have an option for time labels (in long fields only).

Right. Honestly on a watch (normally) lasting xx days....even if CIQ apps consume a bit more (and that may not be true)..it'd be matter of hours over days duration. My new Fenix 7 with your Glance Pro lasted first time 18 days!

I released a major update to Universal Widget Pro (Widget, not the Watch Face!):

Now it became FREE TO USE, with only a few metrics that need payment. A lot more enhancements, full list below.

Version 2.0 (2022-04-27):

• Changed the payment structure. The app is now FREE TO USE, but has some metrics that require a purchase of an unlock code (existing unlock code works for those, if you already bought it).
• Glance view of the widget changed to Compass (becuase I think it looks cool ).
• Added one more screen. There are now up to 3 FULLY customizable screens.
• Added screen number indicator (in the horisontal line in the middle of the screen).
• Now ALL metrics and bars can be customized on each screen. That makes 18 different metrics, 6 progress bars, and 6 graph/long metrics (out of close to 50 metrics/graphs available in the app) that can be displayed in a few touches!
• Top and bottom metrics can now display labels if arc bars next to it are set to None.

Give it a try if have not tried it yet. Please leave a review if you like the app !

Thanks, now it's clear! Seconds always on are already disabled. I'm getting a good battery life with the watchface.

Does exist Glance Pro for Instinct 2 Series? I have Instinct 2 Tactical..I travel a lot and always have to talk with people in 2 different time zone, can't wait to get both always ready on display. The widget wouldn't help I think.
