run your file through Fit File Tool's section remover

import this fit file manual from within Garmin Connect Web

when this fails

with your consent we can have a look at your file with FitFileRepairTool

zip the fit file and upload here in the forum, or provide a link to it on a cloud storage

Hi,

I have a similar issue whereby Garmin Connect says I am trying to upload an unsupported file type when it's a .FIT file. Never had any problems before.

I'm using a Mac at the moment so how can I upload the file to this forum for someone to kindly help me?

Nothing structural wrong with this fit file.

Only missing GPS data, beginning at start for the first minute, repeating multiple times.

There was another post today with the same fault that GPS stopped logging in the fit file.(other symptom).

Call Garmin Support and tell them about your mishap.

Source for distance when GPS stopped logging is your watch and arm swing 

Had a look at the file with Fit File Repair Tool.

Sometimes GPS lock kicked back in after a stop/start.

do check the ACTIVITY folder on your watch

when containing many fit files, time to backup/clear the ACTIVITY folder
