We have escalated this issue to our engineers but we need any user experiencing this to reach out to our Product Support team directly. This can be done via support.garmin.com. We will gladly work with…
This is an issue that is actively being investigated by the engineering teams responsible for the Forerunner 945. We will be closing this thread as this is not an issue we can solve remotely via the forums…
A $600 watch should have buttons that respond in a way in which the user can tell that the press was registered, whatever that means. In this particular case, if I'm running and press the lap key, I shouldn…
I would buy this one, but after reading a lot of post with this problem, knowing that it is not sort it out. Do you recomend that i pay 600€ if i will have to call to suppot? really, i dont know what will…
I don't know. I assumed that it is not the proper way as it feels like the button sticks a bit (or feels crunchy) before it actually clicks. So it feels like it clicks twice before it registeres the button push. Not sure if we're describing the same thing?
I have the same problem that many are reporting here and would like to just return my watch to the original retailer and reorder from Garmin. Since it's not available on the site, is my best option to just request a replacement through Garmin?
The buttons are not great. The three buttons on the left are soft. The start and back buttons on the right are clicky. I just can't deal with sending back a THIRD watch only to get a fourth one that feels the same. I ended up turning key vibe on all the time so that I get that immediate feedback as to whether my button press has registered. It's not ideal, but the key vibe makes it feel like a button click.
Me too. I wouldn't want to buy the device this expensive with this teething hardware problem.
Yeah but I came here to see if anyone else had the problem. I’ve just got my replacement 945 and the left side buttons all feel mushy already. I’d like to wait until Garmin manufacture them better before swapping for a third
Think positive. 935 has better GPS.
My 935 have much more mushy feel then my 945 = my 945 have an more tactile feel.
So I agree with others, 935 had same problem, some was better then others.
