We have escalated this issue to our engineers but we need any user experiencing this to reach out to our Product Support team directly. This can be done via support.garmin.com. We will gladly work with…
This is an issue that is actively being investigated by the engineering teams responsible for the Forerunner 945. We will be closing this thread as this is not an issue we can solve remotely via the forums…
A $600 watch should have buttons that respond in a way in which the user can tell that the press was registered, whatever that means. In this particular case, if I'm running and press the lap key, I shouldn…
I would buy this one, but after reading a lot of post with this problem, knowing that it is not sort it out. Do you recomend that i pay 600€ if i will have to call to suppot? really, i dont know what will…
Ami also happens to me on ALL buttons of 945. In 935 it did not happen to me. I noticed it from the first day.
I'm having the exact same issue and plan on reaching out to Garmin Support tomorrow (today is a holiday in the U.S.). However, is there any guarantee that a replacement device would not suffer from the same defect if the root cause has not yet been identified?
adamdehaven until Garmin issues a statement...we have no certainty replacements not having the defect
guess Garmin is(wants) gathering data about the impact of the defect...or something like that
happy sporting
Depending on the day and the angle I push the buttons mine also features all the symptoms: sticky, mushy and double click.
Having said that, I think they have gotten a bit better in the past two weeks, especially the double click has noticeably lessened.
Although the buttons work they're still very inconsistent and definitely not on par what I'd expect from a 600€ watch.
Would like to exchange it but don't want go through the 1-2 week(in past experiences) wait and hassle returning it to Garmin when there's no guarantee I'll get a better unit in replacement.
Thank you for doing this. It is troubling that a premium watch would have this problem, and now I'm a bit worried about the watch I ordered (not from Garmin) over the weekend. If I have this problem too, should I contact Garmin for a replacement or deal with the vendor? Thanks - hope I'm worrying about nothing.
isn't the double click the proper behavior?
My Up button always double clicks (my one good button, but also not perfect). My down and start button single clicks the first couple of times and then switch to double click mode. My back button usually doesn't click, but does register (feels stuck).
