Mushy/sticky buttons

Trying to get a feel from others if the buttons on their 945 are as bad as mine are. The UP/DOWN buttons in particular seem to get stuck and, while they work, they don't fully actuate with the normal 'click'.

    Setting up mine now. All buttons are OK for me also.

    Just another view. Mine has sort of a "2 step" actuation. Sort of like a car door. There is the first stop and then another. The "first stop" does not do anything, you have to push firmly past the first stop for the button to work. I just checked my 935 side by side and there is no "first stop"--you push the button and it works. The 945 requires that you are very firm before it works. Not sure if this is a design feature or a flaw and whether it will "correct" after some use. Will need to keep an eye on it.

    tactile response

    my view on my 935 buttons
    pushing a 935 button needs a certain force to overcome "spring force"
    when pressure applied get's higher than spring force you feel and hear a click
    after button release the "spring force" returns the button to its original position

    my view on my 945 buttons
    as martinm1 said there is a sort of "2 step" actuation
    some of my 945 buttons lose this "2 step" actuation and fails tactile respons becoming mushy

    otherwise the watch is a work of art

    Got my 945 last Saturday and finally decided to try last night and on this morning run. Buttons do feel a more loose than the ones on my 935. Hopefully I will get used to... but not sure. I think I will miss the 935...

    My 'down' button is also suffering from a two click issue. 1st click does nothing while the second click accomplishes desired action.

    This comment finally helped me understand the issue :P

    So.. looks like my 945 (also from Wiggle) has a 'sticky' back button. What is the general verdict here - are people seeing these come 'unstuck'? I am apprehensive to send it back just to get another watch with the same issue.

    Also.. I am right in thinking that the start/stop button is intentionally (why?) completely different and is only meant to have the single click..

    post #33 and #34 should explain the crux of the matter for FR945 buttons

    as I see it : sticky button or mushy button
    when pressing a button it has(gives) a tactile response so you note having pressed the button
    this tactile response disappears after pressing a button
    pressing again you get no tactile respons
    after waiting a while the tactile response can return

    Buttons on my FR945 much better compare to my 2.5 yo chronos. I feel clicks now ;) No any complains about buttons.

    Yes. My back button is 'stuck' in that first step position so it currently only has one step and now obvious feedback apart from the action on the screen. It certainly is not right, and when finishing a cold run with cold hands that lack of feedback is not helpful.
