Fenix 8 Amoled 47mm - Battery Drain

Hi,

My Fenix ​​discharges very quickly. 20% per day without GPS workouts and without AOD. That's relatively high compared to my Epix 47mm.
Does anyone else have the same problem?
I hope that this will be fixed with the next firmware update.

    I have the same issue.

    Just bought my my watch and with default settings and latest updates(12.35), the battery is draining pretty fast.

    After only 2 days I have to recharge it(less than 20% battery left). I didn't start any activity, no GPS during this time... I just kept it on my wrist(minimal usage).

    I will try to recharge it and start an activity. Hope it will last at least few hours...

    (yes, pretty lame compared to my previous Epix 2)

    In my case, I have de Coros HR updated and the problem persisist with the last FW

    Seeing the same problem, especially after recording an activity.

    I usually see 15/20% drain in less than 10h, with no specific functionality in use (GPS...)

    I need to restart the watch (turn off and then on again) for the drain to step and resume to normal battery use (5-6% per 10h).

    So 14% per 24h is normal battery use in your case? Seems pretty much though...

    1 percent in 18 hours ,51mm amoled pulse ok on at night,sleep mode on.gesture off.Bluetooth connected all the time.

    5% is when I have pulseOx enabled (mostly at night).

    If not normal battery consumption would be even lower

    Observing battery drain on Fenix 8 Amoled 43mm, fw 12.35. Usually occurs after a run. The battery keeps draining quickly as if the activity is still running - I presume GPS stays on even though the activity is stopped. The device loses ~10% charge per hour during this time. Restarting the watch returns it to normal.

    I installed the Battery Graph from ConnectIQ to track the battery history which confirms my observations.

    Running 12.35 and I had a bigger period of time with a reasonable battery consumption. 
    Even after Hikes with no external sensors the situation seams to be ok.
    However after an activity which uses external sensors, HR or my Waterrower, the battery drains quickly even after the session.
    I deactivated the automatic sensor search and also disabled the already recognized devices. 
    Not sure what is happening.

    I had the same with my fenix8 51mm for about 2 weeks. Nearly 25% per day. I tested everything from this thread including a factory reset and a beta firmware. No change. After 2 weeks I did the same activity (in my case emtb) as 2 weeks before ( in between I did skiing only).

    and after I stopped the recording of this emtb activity the battery drain was gone also.

    My conclusion is: in this 2 weeks this emtb activity didn’t stop completely… the gps sensors (and perhaps more) were still on.  Even when I started and stopped other activities like skiing.

    perhaps it could be an advice to start and stop all activities you did before the battery drain started…
