Hi,
My Fenix discharges very quickly. 20% per day without GPS workouts and without AOD. That's relatively high compared to my Epix 47mm.
Does anyone else have the same problem?
I hope that this will be fixed with the next firmware update.

Our engineers are still investigating battery drain concerns associated with the Fenix 8. They would like to point out many things that are expected to increase battery drain beyond the estimated days…
Update September 25, 2024:
Our engineers have discovered an issue that was causing incident detection to remain after, after being used in an activity. This was causing a significant increase in the battery…
Hi Laurie,
Already shared these informations with you weeks ago, enabled logging, still no reliable fix on Garmin's end. Should we trust the brand at all?
I understand the items list you have above…
Same problem here, with fenix 8 51mm amoled.
PulsOxy Setting -> manuel
AOD off
Gesture Mode on with 4Sec
No GPS activities etc.
Display Off overnight / Red Shift on Touch
Bluetooth Connection to iPhone
Issue…
Yes, the battery drains even when not wearing the watch.
Anyway, some of these tips are ridiculous:
Turn on the battery saver feature from the controls menu (Controls). I dont buy the watch to be in battery…
I wouldn't have your patience, especially since I spent a lot of money on a tool that I should have been happy with from the start, not to sit around testing various things because Garmin didn't take care of it. That's why when I saw that it didn't meet my expectations, I returned it. And from what I've noticed, many are unhappy with the battery life, which makes me think that it wasn't exactly perfected from the factory and is the most unsuccessful version of Fenix from this point of view. I've had Fenix 5 Plus, 6, 7SS and now 7 Pro Sapphire, which I'm happy with. All of them where good products at their time. We'll see what happens after 8.
I totally agree
Same issue here. Fully charged Fenix 8 43mm AMOLED at bedtime. Wake up to 50% battery life remaining. Pulse OX manual, AOD OFF, sleep focus on. This just started since the last software update 12.22
Would you mind listed the paired sensors and accessories, and for each one tell us if they're within range when you're not using them at night for example ?
I have no paired sensors. The watch is paired to my phone, which is on the nightstand next to the bed. I did not have this issue until last software update. I've had the watch for 3 weeks. I'm still within my return window, so might return it.
Should we start speculating like "maybe now that there's a microphone there's a backdoor for watches connected to the phone to listen to us and that's where the battery consumption is going" ?
That's the cell phone's job
Day 15 from full charge and still have 19% battery, so I'll probably get another full day or 2 before I have to charge it again.
Not sure what some of you are doing to drain your battery so quickly, but then again, I don't hook up a bunch of sensors, 3rd party widgets, data screens, and apps on my device.
This already has all the sensors needed (except a bike power meter), and the sensors it does have are pretty accurate too, so I don't feel the need to hook a bunch of stuff up that could potentially drain my battery.
To be fair I'm averaging .2% per hour or less, hrm pro but switched off as are ear buds, on course for 24 days probably 21 realistically just using as a watch with alarms no notifications etc and focus sleepmode from 2000 to 0600
