Corrupted swim files

Seems to happening with increasing frequency now. As soon as I ended my swim the screen went straight to the blue triangle screen. I've also had times in the past where it shows up in Garmin connect as a multisport event - with just a swim. Garmin Connect, Strava and TrainingPeaks don't recognise the file. Garmin support have not been helpful over email. Going to call tomorrow.

I cannot click into the activity data on the watch and the swim icon just has a dotted line icon instead of being filled in and blue.

Any one else experiencing this issue?

    Yes, the problem Is only for the Fenix 6. My other garmin, Forerunner 245, works fine.

    The problem is present on each swim activities (3/3 this week).
    I opened a case on Garmin web site but nobody answer me since 4 days.

    Yesterday I made a factory reset of the watch, next result tomorrow...

    I have the impression of having bought a watch for 20 €

    I've got the same problem with my Fenix 6 and firmware 11.10. Garmin refuse to assist in any way with corrupt files, although it's local South Africa Garmin support and not the global team. I've got 4 pool swim activities in the last 2 weeks that are corrupted. None of the online tools can fix the files and I can't afford a license for the Fit File Repair Tool.

    I see that this problem is now very widespread. I point out that the workouts, even if recovered with the fit tools, are not considered on the training status.

    cannot believe that Garmin will not assist anyone with this widespread and random problem. 

    I had a successful swim yesterday, after two corrupt files in a row. 

    I could never imagine a company like Wahoo displaying this kind of customer service.

    This morning,I did a swim activity, and it was the first to be ok since 2 weeks.
    Factory reset (with delete of all the activiies) seems to have worked.

    Not very funny because I'll have to reconfigure all the screen of activities... but if its working why not.

    I have also ask garmin support for the second times by mail but still no answer.

    Yes i have experienced the same, since last update the fit files are corrupted. 

    Yesterday, i had set up a custom swim widget, with manual data fields. This worked astonishingly. Will go for a swim later today and report how this worked

    Possible workaround, this appears to be working for my Fenix 6s.

    created a custom swim training widget, with 3 rows. Top Heart rate, Middle distance, bottom workout time.

    use the created widget during swimming

    when finished, i press the stop button and navigate to safe button. wait for around 45 to 60 seconds before i hit the safe button. No reboot and activity is synced correctly Slight smile

    16 days and several swims with no issues and now today....as soon as I saved the activity I got the blue triangle of death on watch screen. Weirdly, it successfully uploaded to Strava and TrainingPeaks as a swim but in Garmin Connect it shows as a multi sport activity with just a swim. There is something seriously wrong here!
