vivoactive 3 phoneConnected always true

Seems that as a result a recent firmware update to the vivoactive 3 the Sys.getDeviceSettings().phoneConnected as well as settings.connectionInfo[:bluetooth].state always return true/CONNECTION_STATE_CONNECTED regardless if the phone is connected or not.  These calls have been working fine for many months.  Is there a new process for getting connection state?

    Firmware: 6.90

    Turn off BT on the phone or walk off out of range has same affect.  The watch faces are built from the latest SDK with 3.0.x compatibility.

    I noticed in the comment of another post that you had reproduced this. Do you happen to know what VA3 fw the device was running? We haven't had any luck trying to reproduce this issue at this point.

    Also, to reproduce this, do you need to walk away from the phone to lose connection? or do you see the same behavior if you disable BT or turn off the phone?

     Is this platform specific? or has this been occurring on both IOS and Android? We have multiple reports from external users about this issue, but we haven't been able to reproduce it in house at this point so we are trying to gather more specific information. If you have any more info about platforms, device FW versoins or how the device was disconnected from the phone (phone power off, or remove device from connect, or something else) please comment here.
