NoFrills (watch face)

Thanks for a great watch face!
I noticed that when I update Settings using my phone, most of the times I get a message like "Network error, cannot update settings".
But if I move my wrist to put the watch in high power mode and then click Save, then the Settings update most of the time.
I have a Forerunner 230.
This is the only watch face that has this behavior, all other watch faces update settings immediately and never get that error message.
Anyone else seeing this?
(I'm trying to develop a watch face (I'm a newbie) and trying to understand how Settings work)

This could potentially have something to do with the number of settings that it has to update. This is quite an extensive list and could be what causes the problem. The 230 is one of the older and slower devices around and could potentially time out while trying to save the settings.
It is the first that I have heard of this issue, but will keep my eyes and ears open.
I am glad you found a workaround for this.

This Watchface is really nice, but if I close the connect app on my iPhone I dont get notifications anymore. Is that normal? I dont have this problem with the original watchface. There I can close the app and I get all notifications without any problems.

I have added it to my backlog and will look at this whenever I get a chance.

Hi guys! First of all thanks a lot for your hard work, it is simply amazing! I have installed the watchface right now but im not able to change the hour and minute color and I dont know the reason. I have tried in the android app and with garmin app in the laptop but it doesnt work. The strange thing is I can change some things like date, font, colon, etc, but not the time color (even I check the option to use differents colors and it doesnt work neither), so I only can have the hour in blue color (default color) without reason hahahah. Im using a vivoactive! Someone could help me with that?? Thank you a lot guys! :D

Garmin released the first beta firmware for the 735XT which solves a long standing bug with HR not displaying on watch faces!

Hello,
I just got my new Fenix 5x. The first thing I did was download and configure this awesome watch face.

However, It seems that any time I disconnect the Bluetooth on my phone and look down at my watch all the configurations I had previously completed saved from my phone were deleted and the watch face goes back to its stock settings. By stock settings I mean that the NoFrills face resets and all the data is white with the wrong data displaying.

Could someone offer some suggestions on what I can do? I do not want to go back into the settings multiple times a day to make the watch face look and function the way I want.

Snook55 - What version of firmware are you running on the f5x? If it's something like 4.10, you may want to consider installing the 5.09 beta, as since 4.10, there have been firmware fixes for Connect IQ on the f5x.
