With introduction of Garmin Pay, I am starting to add a new payment option for some of my apps. The system is not flexible enough to just add Garmin Pay to existing apps, so I'll publish a copy of an app, with the same functionality but Garmin Pay as the payment provider.

The idea for this app is simple:
- Use only large fonts, so that all data are visible at a glance (hence the name of the app: Glance   )
- Put as much data on the screen as possible, without sacrificing font size above
- Make all data fields customizeable to your needs
- Make colors customizeable as much as possible, so users can create their own design

Color themes are compatible between "Glance" and "Glance Pro" (except for "inactive status icons color", which became obsolete in "Pro").

  • Hi liked your glance but noticed the weather data is slightly off. My iPhone shows 27 degrees and the watch 25 degrees

    That is a Garmin Weather issue - you can try checking with Garmin support or switch to Glance Ultra and use Open Weather provider, which is usually a bit more accurate.

    Why super quick response.. Garmin weather is different from the iPhone weather?  And you are saying Glance ultra is more accurate?  Sorry what do you mean open weather provider? Just checking to ensure not a white elephant. USD converts to 1.3 in my currency. Slight smile

    Garmin Weather has nothing to do with Apple Weather - they are 2 different weather providers. Open Weather is another weather provider - regular GLANCE app is limited to Garmin Weather, but in Glance Ultra you can choose Open Weather.

    Currency conversion in Garmin Pay is unpredictable, but always unfair Disappointed. Only Garmin knows why, and unfortunately they don't bother with explanations.

    Please enter the unlock code in the app settings, the very first field. App settings can be accessed in the Garmin "Connect IQ" app on your phone or in Garmin Express on a computer.

    Hi MobileDriveway. I have been using Glance free for some time and I really like it. Thanks for the good work!
    Occasionally I need to see the live seconds for some time, and I'm thinking about buying Glance Ultra, because it has two screens. My question is: are both screens fully configurable separately, especially is it possible to set the main screen to always hide seconds and the second screen to always show seconds? I have Enduro 3.

    No, some settings like seconds behave identically on both screens. Only metrics and colors are different.

    That said, having always on seconds doesn't affect battery life on Enduro 3 too much. You can also set "disable always on seconds during sleep", which will further reduce battery usage.

    That's interesting. I always thought that updating a MIP screen every second will significantly decrease battery life. I think even your Glance app says so. Can you share why this isn't the case for Enduro 3?
