  • Also, as you can see from the File Explorer screenshot, I run the designer from a NAS, network, location, but always have. That isn't a new issue since 3.0.2, is it? I can try installing locally and test that, I guess.

  • Fonts.txt MUST be in same folder as exe file!

  • Sure enough, fonts.txt MUST be in the directory where the exe is. Begging the question how did it work in 3.0.2 and previous without the fonts.txt in that directory, AND, the larger question, why does in not unzip to the right location? I just use Windows 10's Expand All to extract the zip and the two zips within the zip, like I have done since the beginning. Do I need to use some other ZIP extractor?

  • I installed 7Zip and it does the same thing, fonts.txt is in the root directory of the install, NOT in with the Designer.exe file. The most amazing thing is I have unzipped Designer installs back to 2.9.6 and it's the same in all, fonts.txt in the root of the install. Alas, knowing this at least gets it working.

  • Yes a simple unzip does not put the fonts.txt where required.  I do not know why it is done that way.  But my memory is the instructions clearly say the fonts.txt must be in the same location as the exe.  I am also a bit surprised the designer program does not provide an error message if it cannot open the fonts.txt.  I suspect an earlier version of the program may not have used an external fonts file.  It is obviously using something for fonts when it cannot find the file, but as you discovered it will not work correctly.

Also some users may be using modified fonts.txt either because they are trying to improve the fonts match or working on a device which has not had the fonts done yet.  So it could be the designer did not want to overwrite fonts.txt with a simple unzip.

  • Hi

Yes, there is a fallback when no fonts.txt is found. But it has no offset or adjustments of course. I am zipping the exe file inside the zip because otherwise chrome will give you a warning that this file is harmful (because executable), its not of course, but that way i get rid of the warning.

  • That’s all good, either move the fonts.txt or move the exe, no problem. Still.... why do 3.0.2 and earlier not require this? They run fine for me with the two files in different directories.

  • hi and my congratulation for your excellent work
can i get cadence by lap? and i would like know if is  posible add expressions like "average power x time" with it i wil get the total work

  • @fabila72: "average power x time" should be no problem. Simply increase the number of values as you like. 60 values should be a minute.

  • hi

It is possible to enter negative values in dynamic color (in case of downhill VAM)
