No more LTH (Auto Detect)?!

So, Garmin solved the problem with LTH simply by not recording anymore LTH?!

I had no more LTH since 10 days....

  •  is Garmin dealing with this HUGE problem?

  • Did an interval session today...

    5x3'@10k pace with 1.5' rest... I'd expect a LTHR update but nothing on the watch and nothing in connect. Synced over cable btw.

    Great all these features and stats on a watch, if only they'd actually work... crap

    No LTH update since December.

  • Maybe they are changing something because of FR965? Same BUG on F7.

  • Think they are more focussed on their "Let's release one model a week"-schedule then actually fixing their software...

    By now they have so many models and lines of software that most likely fixing it in one breaks it in another. But hey, if it's broken in all of them at least the experience is consistent right?

    (Yeah, sorry... getting a bit, or a lot, frustrated with this whole FR955 experience)

  • So, did DC Rainmaker actually weigh in on the Forerunner firmware debacle? I got a lot downvotes when I called him a Garmin shill in another thread here. So, did anything result from his "call" with Garmin? Did he address the situation on his website? Let me take a bold guess…

  • It makes me angry too. Because the forerunner should be ideally suited for runners, but the basic metrics don't work.

  • He (DCR) did mention on the 955 thread having a call with them (Feb 6 and  7 2023) and that there would be followup with Garmin after they investigated further . Nothing after that.

  • Meh, he once did post an article about the crappy firmware/software in general...

    But overall, extensive as his reviews may be, they are also all more of the same and mainly focused on 'direct' stats (GPS accuracy, heartrate accuracy, power, etc).

    Then again, hard to thoroughly go through ALL the options as well as review things that take weeks to balance out. Let alone things might work, or be broken, and one week later the other way around...

  • A someone suggested earlier, I've connected my watch to computer (Garmin Express) in hope it will somehow resync. But no luck.
