A $600 watch should have buttons that respond in a way in which the user can tell that the press was registered, whatever that means. In this particular case, if I'm running and press the lap key, I shouldn…

ps
would you have noticed the button thingy when not for this forum thread ?
Just for talking... once, i teared down my old Fenix 5 since warranty was over and i tried to understand why some buttons had different response than others; once i opened the watch i tried to press all the buttons and i saw that someone had less play than others so, i loosened motherboard screws and i clearly saw that it was misaligned compared to the buttons; i aligned it, tightened screws and voilà: all buttons "clicks" ware perfectly fine! I think this is the problem with all strange buttons behaviours...
I don't know... i have never opened a 935/945 because they haven't any screw outside...
Watch is a few days old. Buttons overall feel harder to press(than previous Garmin watch) and do exhibit some minor stickiness, but okay for me except the Back button. I go to press sometimes and don't hear click or feel the button actuate. However the press does usually register.
I turned on Key Vibe and that helps.
