Mushy/sticky buttons

Trying to get a feel from others if the buttons on their 945 are as bad as mine are. The UP/DOWN buttons in particular seem to get stuck and, while they work, they don't fully actuate with the normal 'click'.
  • I do not suggest returning your watch in the hopes of getting one with better button feedback. My exchange is worse and I should have just kept the original. :(

    lindajm22, sad to hear :(
  • bakewell, :)

    as I see it
you have a "down" button that works like it should and all others are sticky :p

What?! Sticky? All my buttons have a single click then initiate the desired action, except the back button which has two clicks. You say two clicks is correct behavior? NAW...

I agree. All five of my buttons have a single click and everything is working fine. I feel the buttons returning back to their original position after each click. It's working exactly as my 935. I've had many Garmin watches, and to my knowledge none were designed with a double click. I don't see a point of a double click and maybe that's improper?
  • This button issue is pissing me right off now, FGS, I had send my original 935 back for this problem and now the 945........Garmin quality is always very suspect ( I'm so glad i didn't buy the vector 3s, fortunately I learnt my lesson with vesrion 1 and 2s).......
  • Just got done setting mine up and have no problem with the way the buttons function. All 5 have a nice clicky feel.
  • Same here. Have the 945 as of yesterday and I much prefer the buttons on my 935

thomasclowes, I would not care about one or two click function

post #33 and #34 should explain the crux of the matter for FR945 buttons

as I see it : sticky button or mushy button
when pressing a button it has(gives) a tactile response so you note having pressed the button
this tactile response disappears after pressing a button
pressing again you get no tactile respons
after waiting a while the tactile response can return
