Happening for me too. Random notifications as far as I can tell. But in case it matters, the most common notification I get is gmail. I use an Android phone. This has happened the last 2 days. It's also causing me to lose steps.

Mine is an IOS device,
I got it randomly after any kind of notifications.
But I can no more speak about it now as it was so annoying that I switched back to the previous version.

Moto X4 on Pie. Observed restarts after Facebook Messenger and Android Messages notifications.
Mine does this too! And there are huge gaps during the day on the graphs of my body battery, stress, and heart rate. Not like it really matters but it’s super annoying. If I sync to the app, then it kicks it back into tracking but I can’t open the app 50 times a day
