There is an open ticket with our engineering team that is being investigated. We have gathered error logs from users that are affected and hope to have a resolution soon. This continues to be an issue…
We wanted to touch base with everyone as we are still looking into this issue. I know there have been questions as to why we are not able to reproduce this internally. This is a thread dedicated to this…
We have released a beta to address this issue which can be found here. We will be closing this thread and monitoring feedback in the sticky post linked.
The changes in the above linked beta will be rolled…
This was my data yesterday. The first gap is overnight and I wasn't wearing the watch. The second gap from 8:30am to 3:50pm I was wearing the watch the entire time and after receiving a notification at…
I disabled most notifications (left calendar reminders on), and have still had 2 reboots this morning. I also have the missing sections in my 'graphs' as others have described. This OS update is…
Had the same behavior this morning, moreover after the restart, I have seen that I have lost all my night track information..
I wish I would not have done this update, the watch was perfectly fine before...
Is there a way to rollback to the previous version ?
Again a new reboot just after a notification.
I switched back to 2.60, everything is fine now.
I will wait for a stable version of this 2.70 to migrate.
I have stumbled on this page:
https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=14935
Which explain how to install a 2.66 Beta, AND which explain how to rollback to 2.60...
I applied the procedure for rolling back (I have rolled back only the GUPDATE-260.GCD file; I have not rolled back the file in REMOTESW.
and It worked : the unit reinstalled the 2.60, and everything has returned to normal, no more reboot.
Be careful that as explained on the procedure, you will lose your setting (not a big deal I think as you keep lots of this on your garminconnect app and you keep your application IQConnect.
Just be careful on these operations.
berimbadas Is this happening after any specific notifications? Also, are you paired to an iOS or Android phone? We are unable to recreate this internally paired with multiple phones and multiple types of notifications. Any additional info you can provide will help us track this down.
No, it is with random notifications from news apps. Not with emojis or nothing, just regular text. I'm paired with android but now downgraded to 2.60.
Yup, happening to me too. And even worse, for my opinion, is when it restarts, I'm losing steps. For example, this morning after a walk I had between 3500-4000 steps. I got a vibration on my wrist, I looked down and saw the blue garmin icon, after the watch finished restarting I had 2000 steps. This is extremely frustrating.
