2.4Ghz Wifi 0200 error

Hi,

I try to use my 2.4Ghz wifi network for downloading my Spotify play list to my VA4. Despite the Wifi test in the Garmin Connect app succeeds everytime I try to download my play list, a system update or to attempt to connect to my wifi network from within the wifi settings of my VA4 I am getting a wifi 0200 error. I tried to change the wifi mode in my router from mixed to 802.11n, g and b. But that did not help. The ssid is broadcasted and the router that I have is a LinkSys EA8500.

The firmware version of my VA4 is 3.40.

Can someone help me?

Regards,

Chris.

  • User in The Netherlands of Vivoactive 4. I’m able to successful connect a WiFi network. Also remove and reconnect result is message that WiFi network connected successfully. However when I try to sync a playlist I receive error 0200. As far as I noticed sync via WiFi doesn’t work.

  • I had the same issues. I went into the Garmin app and realized I didn't have Spotify notification permissions turned on, and when I switched that it worked. Not sure if it was just a glitch or if it is a common issue.

  • You have to save the file as "general-ca-bundle.crt" !!! (without the quotes)

Place this inside the "Garmin" folder, wait a few seconds, and disconnect the device.

Wait a few seconds, and connect it again.

Look in the "Garmin" folder, you should notice the file is gone.

    Now syncing works!

  • An update: I came back to the Netherlands and WIFI keeps on working, So my problem is solved by going abroad (out of the Netherlands) and use WIFI there.

  • Workaround works for me too! I'm in the Netherlands, Vivoactive 4s and IphoneX. Had 0200 error, could not sync with spotify. Workaround works like a charm! Thanks for the post!

  • Just got the 3.70 update and finally I am able to sync with spotify!

  • Any news here? Just bought a garmin6x s - and it does not support music... 800euros out the window.

  • I actually discoved something that fixed the problem for me.

I had my WIFI network SSID hidden so I changed the wifi network name to be visible and it started to work without any problem. I did add the .crt file to the device before I discovered this fix but I'm not sure that was needed in my case.

  • This is my first time with a smart watch as the forerunner235 only needed Bluetooth to sync. My phone via Garmin connect says WiFi is connected when I test it but when I try to download a playlist it tries to connect to WiFi and then says “no network connection.” I don’t know if this is the same problem as everyone else in this thread but I just got the VA4s today and have been having trouble all day.
