2.4Ghz Wifi 0200 error

Hi,

I try to use my 2.4Ghz wifi network for downloading my Spotify play list to my VA4. Despite the Wifi test in the Garmin Connect app succeeds everytime I try to download my play list, a system update or to attempt to connect to my wifi network from within the wifi settings of my VA4 I am getting a wifi 0200 error. I tried to change the wifi mode in my router from mixed to 802.11n, g and b. But that did not help. The ssid is broadcasted and the router that I have is a LinkSys EA8500.

The firmware version of my VA4 is 3.40.

Can someone help me?

Regards,

Chris.

Great tip Michel, that I immediately tried on my Fenix 6 Pro. I flew from the Netherlands to Spain virtually using a VPN connection with a Spanish server, setup the VPN on my Phone and made a hotspot. Unfortunately no luck... Still the 0200 error Slight frown

This is such a weird problem. Anyone outside of the Netherlands experiencing the same problem?

  • Nice try...

I could have something to do with GPS?

I'm getting a little bit frustrated as it seems Garmin is not really present on this big topic...

FYI, this is happening to me with my 645M in the United States.

    1. Not able to sync anything over Wi-Fi.

    2. Yes I have been able to sync over the same network I'm trying to now with no issues.

    3. Yes I'm able to add and remove the network and it works just fine but I can never connect to it afterwards.

    4. I have only tried a Spotify.

Same happening with me here in France, so disappointed that it’s not working after spending all that money

  • Could you give an update about this?

    One again: Former Member,

    Could you give an update?!?.
Garmin is really lacking in proving information and updates here. I surely understand that you need time for investigation and implementation of the solution.

But I would like to hear once in a while an update about the process and more important: An acknowledgement that Garmin is capable to solve this issue (meaning it's not a HW issue).

The current way of working is really frustrating for a lot of people and even pisses me off...

    Best regards,
    Loen

I agree, we need a response on how long this will take. This is a key feature that many of us actually bought the watch for. A month of no progress and updates is totally unacceptable.

  • Have someone already tried the work around (see sticky post).  I've a fenix 6, so cannot try but if this workaround works I've good faith that it will be solved in the near future!

I have tried the workaround and..... it works for me! My phone is syncing with Spotify now.

Quite a relief. On a Venu.
