Unable to download any app on Garmin venu sq2 music edition

I got a garmin venu sq 2 music edition today. I tried installing amazon music, spotify.. any app in the connect iq store. It goes on installing and then does not install.

I have tried on both android and ios. I have updated the watch using garmin express

I have reset the watch loads of times.. paired again. Connected and disconnected via bluetooth. Reset. Name it , I have done it. But somehow i cannot install any app.

I even uninstalled the apps it came installed with and it would not install those apps again.

Really fed up by now. Planning to return the watch. I have seen similar posts here and even on reddit. Seems like an issue with garmin venu sq 2 right now.

Can confirm the issue with Firmware 2.64, current connect iq app on Android 13/Pixel4a as well as with the Garmin Windows App and usb connection.

As far as I know, only the Venu Sq 2 (+Music) series is currently affected by the problem, which has been going on for a month now. At this point, I would welcome a suggestion from Garmin for owners of this watch who are no longer willing to wait for the solution, for which not even an approximate solution timeframe has been given to date. A free exchange, e.g. for a model from the Forerunner series that at least covers the functions of the Venu Sq 2 (+Music), could possibly be an option for some of us.

Honestly i will just switch back to my old Samsung Active 2. Not as good or enduring but this is unacceptable. The watch will be returned as defective to amazon.

Issue with Venu Sq 2 music is not only for Android but also for iPhone. Talked to the Garmin support and they linked this post as a solution to the problem....

It's astonishing that not all Garmin Support agents are aware of this issue.
This should be a top priority issue, and all support agents should be made aware of it.
