Speed Sensor 2 pairing issues

I'm unable to pair the new Speed Sensor 2 in Garmin Connect Mobile, tried both Android and iOS phones. However, I was able to pair it on fenix and Edge devices in both BLE and ANT modes. Any help?

It is crazy absurd there isn't a fix on here. Does ANYONE from Garmin actually pay attention? I just bought this device and I am having this issue - 2+ years of customers raising this issue. This really makes me question Garmin as a company and buying any of their future products.

  • I got the sensor replaced and the new one has the same issue...ridiculous

I have the same pairing issue.    Based on this forum, Garmin continues to sell a product that does not work and doesn’t seem to care.

  • I see so many issues, it's strange, I was sure that Garmin products are high quality. Why it is happen?

  • Still having the same problem 2 years after this was reported. The speed sensor 2 is useless with Garmin Connect. The web site/purchase info should make this clear.

  • I have the same problem, could you help me?

    Same here. SGS9+

Speed Sensor 2, paired first time to garmin connect, changed a few settings, seemed very keen to keep popping up notifications so seemed easier to remove app.

Wanted to change again now won't connect.

Tried everything & I mean everything.

    Still works fine with Zwift.

There just should be a factory reset button or a battery in/out procedure to reset factory.

Does anyone know if the wheel size setting in the App makes a difference outside of the App.

In Zwift I am trying to find a good speed/Watts balance on a spin bike. It is nearly there hence the desire to change the setting. Not sure if just the wheel size in Zwift making all the difference.

I don't think the wahoo has this so why I went with Garmin, don't want to buy Wahoo if no adjustment & the Garmin has actually helped, I think set at 1400 but can't remember.
