• Chip shot club path and AoA detection

    Hi,

Been working on my chipping recently and I noticed that the R10 (up to date) does not pick up the angle of attack neither club path / face angle for short chip short (15/20 meters).

Tried to change device height as well as distance from the ball…

  • RE: Accelerometer, pace and GPS

Just put my old Adidas SDM4, and without calibration, it seemed to be within 1 to 2% of the real distance. The Fenix was more like like 5 to 6% too short, and the Suunto 9 was 16% (!!!) too short (but challenging short loop around my office). So I guess…

In any case, if you do a Run activity (and presume a Hike one) without GPS or a foot pod then the pace (and hence distance) is modelled from your arm swing…

Is this available for the Instinct_apac version? Copying the gupdate.gcd file to my Instinct doesn't do anything.

  • RE: Max aerobic speed

Yes, it can be converted to regular speed, or pace, so it suffers the same limitations.
