2x respiration rate since Feb 18 2025

Hi, does anyone notice after the firmware update the respiration rate become 2x or almost 2x of real value? My Fenix 8, Tactix 7 are like that. Then last night I pair my old Venu 3, it gives my a proper value. This morning, I got a new Venu 3 firmware update, after the update, it becomes as bad as my Fenix 8. 

I use other devices such as the Clinic grade Masimo to check and compare my respiration rate, yes, it confirms Fenix 8 is indeed not showing proper value.

    this is how Web-API Data looks like:

    i have a VivoActive 5 and Updated on Feb 25th, after that all values are a mess - was skiing till 25th, starting from 26th respiration clearly elevated all over day and night and the variation is terrible.

    I was going to upgrade from my fenix 7 to a fenix 8 with my REI dividend, but after this, no way. I have a respiratory issue and when my resting repiration rate shot up, I was ready to see my doc about it. I am also considering moving to Apple now.

    Yes, this has happened to me also. I hoped another update a few days ago would correct it, but does not seem so. Perhaps I will switch away from the fenix also to anothe brand.

    A quanto pare con il prossimo aggiornamento non sono previste soluzioni con la frequenza respiratoria. Spero che Garmin al più presto possa correggere questo fastidioso bug. È un dato importante ch viene preso in considerazione dalla maggior parte degli utenti .

    Just FYI- Garmin has responded that this is by design. If that's true, why design something to be so wrong and inaccurate! My breathing is not 25 bpm sitting still at my desk! We have years of consistent data. We can also count our own breaths per minute. It seems this feature is now one to write off until they admit the mistake and fix the error.

    I'm having the same issue approximately 40% higher during the night. I am using beta software ony watch.

    I am in Singapore today, i brought my fenix 8 and apple watch ultra. last week i was in Indonesia and got sick due to jetlag and food problems, my breathing rate went  up for two nights. Of course it is the report from apple warch ultra. Cant rely on fenix 8.

    Fenix 8? It is a disaster when i step on plane, my dexcom  blood sugar tracking got disconnected due to the airplane mode. I have to rely on Apple Watch Ultra for the entire 17 hours direct  flight.

    I give garmin fenix 8 a second chance to be fair. Now it is clear Fenix 8 is just some fancy watch with big name but cant be rely in travel. 

    if garnin management read this post, i hope they know  fact is fact. By evidence.

    Continuano i problemi legati alla respirazione. Ieri ho ricaricato l'orologio e questa mattina mi sono accorto che la respirazione era disattivata, mi richiedeva l'ausilio del cardio da polso che comunque è sempre stato attivo. Ho dovuto riavviare il dispositivo per fare sinché la respirazione riprendesse a funzionare e così è stato ma ho perso i dati (comunque non precisi) della respirazione notturna. Problemi continui e se ne aggiungono altri.
