Currently an issue with several of the Garmin x45 series, fenix 6, and vivoactive 4 watches
To be fair, I ran with my buddy who has the Fenix 5 at the weekend. His gps was fine, recorded everything perfectly, my Fenix 6 was so far out it was laughable. Whatever the issue is, Garmin aren’t being…
Not so sure about that, I had an issue mid last week like a lot of people, went for a walk Thursday night which was fine, but just went for a short walk today and the GPS lost itself half way through the walk.
The thin red line is the rough path taken, goes haywire half way. Had a green GPS fix before leaving the start point. Start and Finish in same location. I’m on 22.10 on a F6x Pro.
My wife’s Fenix 6s had the worst GPS track I think I’ve ever seen this morning. Not even close to the route she ran on, ok for first 500m and then 9.5 km of routes more than 0.5 km away from where we actually were. Not just shifted either, the shape of the route was completely off and directions all over the place. Software 22.10.
No it wasn't. F6 GPS was never really good, but this is now just unusable. Yellow line is my actual route, the other line is what my F6 thinks I was running.
The strange thing is, that it is no that bad every day. But I've never seem such a bad GPS recording before in the the past 6 months after I bought the device.
Same happened to me today morning. After 1Km I returned back from the same path but....
Hi all, had my Fenix 6 pro about 18 months and today it totally freaked out…
I ran a 10 mile loop (that I’ve run many times) with a buddy.
my watch measured about 0.4 miles shorter than his at the end of the run and also, the map on Garmin app shows only about 1/2 of the route BUT it shows the distance as 10 miles (I ran until the watch said 10 miles even though my buddy’s watch showed 10 miles 0.4 of a mile before mine).
I’m totally confused, can anyone help?
For context below is a screen shot of the map, this *should* be a closed loop of 10 miles but it’s showing only about 1/2 the actual distance yet still showing 10 miles?!!
Might be the same issue
Maybe same issue:
Which system do you use?
Mine was gps+glonass. I have changed it to gps + Galileo. My yesterday's run was fine.
If ppl write their combination, It maybe could help the issue. Or Garmin shares what they know.
edit: In war times countries could change their positioning systems as a tactic. Maybe Russia had changed the Glonass some time,.who knows?
