This is pretty cool - could be a useful tool if you start seeing sensor drop outs

At least you and me love them. And we expressed this love, since we have 6 Tempes altogether.
OK, my new hypothesis is that the Sensors are displayed in GCM if and only if:
- your sensor reports battery status
- you social security number's 5th digit is a prime
- the 7th digit of the sensor…
Tempe certainly deserves more love! It won't show as a sensor in this list, because the sensor ID of a Tempe is never stored in activity FIT files. But that has advantages; you can record data from more…
Oh...I can upload again..seems to be that battery only comes via BT on the Tickr
Welllll now that the watch was able to spot a battery level it should show on connect also, if all hypothesis are correct......
did you wait enough? ANT only sends the non HR info once in a minute (maybe once in 30 seconds)
Though we'll never now now, as this sensor is already in your sensor's list.. We'll have to wait 90 days to test it with ANT :)

The 255 was paired for over 15 minutes and the Tickr recorded 5 minute+ cardio sessions on ANT and then BT. Please assume I'm not completely incompetent rather than the opposite ;)
But its odd because my Polar Verity Sense only showed up after I paired it with BT last night, and I'd done several hours paired by ANT without it showing before then so there is more to it than duration.
Just had a Polar H9 show up via BT, but not via ANT. It reports battery status over ANT and BT in the 'About' sensor info
Bottom of this list
OK so it appears to act a bit inconsistently (yet), but nice addition to the Connect functions.
I wonder... this is not advertised in any place that I know, and also... at any updates of the GCM app the change log is usually not reporting the changes or fixes made in the play store (I use an android phone), there always a general indication like "app improved for a better user experience" or something similar.
Does anybody knows if somewhere the history change log for GCM can be found?
Could be an experimental feature as it seems not everyone has it.
I don't know why my (crappy) Tickr is shown with its name. but the Polar H9 and Verity Sense report with what looks like a MAC address in place of its name. All only showed up via BT too.
when you pair the Verity Sense via ANT and look in the Menu after 1 minute, does it show the battery status? Maybe it's not sending it on ANT, only on BT?
this is part of the new Gamification campaign where Garmin adds easter eggs that we need to reverse engineer :)
Battery shows up in ANT for it fine.
