Sensor battery status now in GC inc. non Garmin

This is pretty cool - could be a useful tool if you start seeing sensor drop outs

OK, my new hypothesis is that the Sensors are displayed in GCM if and only if:
- your sensor reports battery status

- you social security number's 5th digit is a prime

- the 7th digit of the sensor…

Tempe certainly deserves more love! It won't show as a sensor in this list, because the sensor ID of a Tempe is never stored in activity FIT files. But that has advantages; you can record data from more…

COOL.. is that only for Garmin sensors, or whatever brands paired to the watch? (Can't tell the brand from your pic, maybe it's me not seeing it :) )

The 3rd party sensors are not named but they are easy to identify by ANT ID (HR is a Polar H10, PM is Favero Assioma Duo)

It looks like in GC you can actually rename the sensors too.

Ok thanks! I was asking since I can't see my chest strap, but thinking this through a little more... I should probably connect it to the watch, of course, I use it connected to an external data field

This is cool. Although it shows me battery status for my Tacx Neo 2T bike trainer, which doesn't contain a battery at all.

Where do you see that? I checked in https://connect.garmin.com/modern/ in the top-right corner next to my profile image there's the watch icon. When click on it I only see my Fenix 6 listed even though I ran with HRM-SS in the past week at least once when it was connected to the watch in the menu and at least when it wasn't (used a CIQ DF to connect to it)

There is no sensors section there in my GCM... Possible that I have an older version? Would you mind telling me what version you have? Mine says 4.55.2

or... could this be due to you having also a FR255 connected? Maybe it is a function active only on the new watches..............

4.55.2 here too.

Its possible your sensor isn't supported as I have just noticed my Polar Verity Sense doesn't appear in my list.

I don't think its coming from the 255 as the Polar H10 has never been connected to that watch.

Cool feature! It displays some devices with multiple capabilities in a bit of an odd way; foot pods have a shoe icon, but so do RD pods and HRMs that have running dynamics. The names of some other types of (dual mode) sensors don't show up, only identified by numbers, probably ANT+ ID's but I have not checked that.
