I wish I had money to buy $1000 things that I know I won't like, just to satisfy my urge to have new things

TBH if Coros had released Apex Pro 2 I would seriously consider switching to Coros, for the longer battery life and Stryd integration, which are two of the few features I care about. Well Coros is not releasing new watches anytime soon and F6 pro is on sale in Canada for 470 cad, so guess I won't be switching to Coros for a while.

"As with most years, Garmin did not announce any new consumer products this week. As noted, that rarely happens. And if/when it does, it’s more just a case of coincidental timing with other events occurring the week of the conference (such as the cycling-focused Sea Otter in the past). In terms of products remaining for 2021, looking at the history here, we’re likely past the chance of anything new occurring. Garmin has only once in the last 5 years released a watch after this point in the calendar (the Descent MK1 in 2017, to coincide with a scuba industry event). So I think you've to keep going on F6, at least this year

I'm sure DCR is right in this case, but to be fair, he did also say Garmin is likely not releasing anything new with LTE any time soon about 45 days before FR945 LTE came out, haha. He's more informed than most, for sure, but not necessarily all-knowing.

He usually doesn't find out about an upcoming Garmin release until 2-4 weeks before the rest of us, when a media loaner shows up in his mail for testing. So all his post really tells us is that there definitely is not anything new coming before mid-november, but it doesn't rule out December as a possibility.

That said, I'm not optimistic :D

The watch on it's side is definitely not a new model.  It has the vertically stacked sensors, which are current gen - the new sensor (found on Venu 2 and 945 LTE) has the diamond / square type arrangement and not the vertical stack.

After looking through some models it looks like possibly a Venu 2 laying flat and an Enduro on it's side.

I find myself checking everyday to see if the F7 has released. I was thinking this thread will be off the hook when it does release. Plus all the other sources will be posting. Its going to be an exciting day! I for one, am waiting patiently.
