PacePro Plans Don't Synch to Watch or Garmin Connect Mobile App

PacePro stopped synching before the 18.80 public betas. 

I've uninstalled/reinstalled the following:  

Garmin Connect
18.80 public beta

I haven't received any error messages when using Garmin desktop or Connect IoS apps. 

This issue was also reported in the 18.80 public beta forum thread. 

I received confirmation from [email protected] -Mon, Aug 16, 2021, at 12:50 PM - that this problem is reproducible.  Unfortunately, *NO* indication as to when this issue would be further addressed for resolution. 

It's frustrating that this key feature of Garmin is broken :-(.  The issue was not listed in the System 18:10 software update that is being rolled out.

  • I had the exact same problem over the weekend. I created a PacePro strategy and tried synching it from my phone to the watch three times without any success. When I connected the watch to my computer I saw that the "Paceband" was there, so I deleted it from the watch and then tried syncing it again from my phone. Unfortunately, this also did not work. I think it is a bug

  • Doesn’t work for me on 18.80. On Connect app it seems everything works just fine, but even forcefully syncing once more on the watch the PacePro strategy never is received.

    I reported a lot of bugs over time but received feedbacks for <20% of them.

    I’m honestly in the position where as soon as any competitor releases a sport watch with good battery life, offline hiking maps and small size I will just jump the ship. The quality of the software is just unacceptable for a company like Garmin.

  • Today I had planned to use the PacePro function for a 10k record attempt on track. But, still not been able to get it working... will need alerts instead.

  • works on my F6 Solar Pro on 18.80

    I get the same message as you but they never make it to the watch. If I start an activity, press up, select PacePro Plans I only see my old ones. Doesn't matter if I try to send the plan from GCM or webb.

  • I tested to do exactly the same as you described in page 2. Did not work. I only used English characters for Course and PacePro names (No UMLAUT characters). 

    The new Course arrived to the watch but not the new PacePro Strategy. That file got stuck in Garmin\NewFiles on the watch. So, for me, it doesn't work on my Fenix 6X Pro Solar Titanium software version 18.80 beta with Garmin Express 7.8.1.0.

  • Also tested to create a standard 10K PacePro Strategy (named to "10km" without a Course connected) and that did not work either...

  • Just tried with a longer PPP created from a longer course; that didn't work. No idea why the other one worked for me but not for others. Appears to be something awry. Have to see if is changes with 19.10.

    In the meantime, I can create the PPP on the watch from a course so at least the world has not ended yet.

  • The issue was resolved with the v19.20 software update.
