No idea. I'm not going to try.
Tomorrow afternoon I will connect my watch to GE, as I do every Friday afternoon to grab updates and charge for the forthcoming week and if anything is offered then so…
Doesn't firmware backdating cause the watch to lose its settings though? I thought I remembered seeing that somewhere. If so, that's important to know before you step the firmware back. I personally won…
You get an RC stating it's rolling out in a few days for absolutely months and months.
This is replaced by another RC that sits there for months and months.
Then get a broken maps update.
Then out…
Same. I wonder if the problems were restricted to the X models as the ones I've seen posted mostly seem to be the X, and as a 6 Pro owner perhaps I've lucked out.. EDIT oh and my wife's 6S has been fine as well
Mine is a 6X (sapphire), no issues here. So if it is only limited to X models, it doesn't seem to affect all of them.
I've been running 16.60 on my 6X Pro Solar since Friday morning, so seven days so far, with two recorded activities every day. Everything has been working as usual for me, including battery life.
Yeah. So far been very uneventful for me, battery life, GPS etc all fine. But obviously there's some issue...
It's very odd that their "pulled" notice has itself been pulled. I can't see it at all when I follow the link.
I saw it in the Garmin Pay Thread -> https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/outdoor-recreation/f/fenix-6-series/263794/unable-to-use-garmin-pay
In reply to me, so I should have noticed it!
But how to step back in this case?
Garmin express is not doing anything ...
One thought would be to get the 16.30 beta, and then in there should be a 15.20 downgrade file. You'd need to copy that file directly to /Garmin on the watch

The 16.30 beta downloads look like they're still active. Download, for your watch. Extract the zip file and get the DOWNGRADE file. IT's in the SYSTEM_BACKDATE_1520 folder
Connect your watch to your computer and copy the GUPDATE.GCD file to /Garmin and disconnect your watch. For the Mac you'd need Android File Transfer to copy the file over.
No idea. I'm not going to try.
