Should I wait for fenix 7 or go with 6? Thx

Should I wait for fenix 7 or go with 6? Thx When it usually the new watch come out?

  • yes and based on how poorly is elevate4 sensor is doing i think they will develop elevate5 before fenix7. If you dont believe me, read the DCrainmaker review.

  • He gave the Elevate 4 sensor a glowing review in his Venu 2 article, so the sensor I'm sure is fine, my guess is the sensor firmware in his pre-release 945 LTE watch just isn't totally right yet.

  • The wait is over I'll buy the Huawei watch 3 pro as soon as released

  • Keep waiting until you missed the sales period, and now F7 wait for even longer. To top that, when the team working from home avoiding Covid, expect for extra delay, and you will be "Waiting until becoming a wizard" perhaps.
Whenever a sales period pop out, just rush in. "This is the way."

  • 3 months later and i don't regret waiting

  • I'm waiting for a successor for my 6x, too. Hopefully, the next generation will beat coros vertix 2 related to endurance...

  • Beat the vertix 2 for endurance ? But who really need that much ? I would prefer a better Gps accuracy, touch screen for the map, all the little options that a Fenix has that a Vertix doesn't have yet, rather than 250h of GPS. It's already very comfortable, even a bit less than the vertix 2 would be good enough for 99.9% of runners :-)

  • I don't think the vertix 2 has 250 hours of GPS when you activate multi frequency. But to me: The more the better. Currently, I definitely have to carry the charging cable with me when going to vacation. I would prefer to avoid this. And "no touch" is actually an advantage to me. But people are different, so you have your requirements and I have mine.

  • I agree, the 60 hours I get on my Fenix 6X is more than enough. As long as the Fenix 7 battery lasts at least that, I'll be happy. Fact is, I have to charge my watch so infrequently that it really won't change my life at all even if they double or triple the battery life, because really it's not that much of an inconvenience to me, as it is, to plug in my watch for 2 hours once every 2-3 weeks.

In the 2 years that I've had my 6X, I've never once had to worry about my battery dying during an activity, even on multi-day backpacking trips; and most of the time I don't even have to worry about charging it up beforehand.

Getting more battery life would be perfectly welcomed, but it's nowhere near the top of the list of improvements I want to see. For me, the biggest upgrade I'm hoping for is a bigger display, and maybe a better processor for rendering maps a little faster and capacity to use more than 2 CIQ datafields at a time. If we do get a bigger display, then having 10+ datafield screens would be pretty sweet, too :)
