Should I wait for fenix 7 or go with 6? Thx

Keep in mind that Garmin does typically have sales this time of year, so the discount may simply be a Memorial Day sale and not a sign a new watch is coming.

I think it's likely there will be a new one this year but Garmin is unpredictable so who knows.

Yep, we're exactly 9 months closer than we were 9 months ago That much, I can be certain of!

6X Pro (for example) is only $700 right now, not "over a thousand dollars", and if you're worried the tech will be outdated in the next year then buy a used one for like $400 on any number of auction websites, which you could resell in a year for barely any loss.

There's no logical reason to decide to just go without a watch while you're waiting around for the grass to get greener.

You ar so right. Especially when professionals like, Jetfighters pilots, are still using Fenix 3 or Fenix 5X without any issue.

He’s talking about the capabilities of Connect IQ 4 described in the developers’ conference last year. Not sure they exactly said recording in the background, but definitely a reliable source!

Yep - I mean, if you already have a Fenix or other sports watch that's working fine for you, then certainly there's no rush to get a Fenix 6 now versus waiting until the next Fenix comes out. Because you at least have something to hold you over while you wait.

But if you don't even have a good sports watch currently, then it's insane to just sit around and wait indefinitely for the next model. Anyone who does that is not valuing their time highly enough.

The 955 (or 945LTE) will be release before the fenix 7 i think. 

If you must have the latest and greatest, and will pay for it, then I say wait. F7 should be around the corner soon.

F6 is $100 off (in the US), and you may be able to get better deal than that.

If F6 has all the features that you are looking for, then grab the cheaper F6 now, then wait for the F8. :D
