All Weather Widget Issues - Post Here

If you do not see your weather updating on your Fenix 6 series watch, please try the following steps:

1) Ensure your watch software is fully up to date and your Connect Mobile APP has been updated.

2) Open the Connect Mobile APP and sync your watch

3) Power your smartphone off and on

4) Power your watch off and on

If still an issue:

5) Step outside and acquire GPS with any outdoor activity

6) Hard Reset - with your watch on, hold down your power button until it shuts off (you will not lose any settings with this reset)

- Also, on all iPhones, due to how iOS works with the GCM APP, you must leave the Garmin Connect Mobile APP open on your phone to remain updated. This does not require you leave your phone unlocked or the APP running in the foreground. When you first sync each day, leave the GCM APP in the background in suspend with all of the other items you have on your smartphone. Do not force close it out.

Your smartphone settings are also an impact:

  1. Open the Garmin Connect app
  2. Select   (upper left corner)
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select App Permissions
  5. Ensure Location is ON.  If not, select Manage (right side in blue)
  6. Select Permissions
  7. Enable Location
  8. Tap the back arrow at the top left to back out and save these settings
  9. Power off and then power back on the Garmin device (where applicable), and sync it through the Garmin Connect app

NOTE: For optimal performance of the Garmin Connect app, ensure that all permission settings are set to on and location set to always for the Connect APP.

Apple

  1. Open the Settings menu on the phone
  2. Select Privacy
  3. Select Location Services
  4. Toggle on if needed
  5. Select Connect from the list of apps on the Location Services screen
  6. Ensure ALLOW LOCATION ACCESS is set to Always
  7. Power off and then power back on the Garmin device (where applicable), and sync it through the Garmin Connect app

For me personally and those I have reached out to, on our Fenix 6 watches, if we do not see the weather updated, we sync through the GCM APP and typically within 30-90 seconds, it will update and show the temperature properly again.

    Could you provide a link to where the firmware update is. I only see a beta version for 10 and not 10.1.

    Software version 10.10 is a Public Release version, not a Beta version.  As such, it will be available for download and installation through Garmin Express.

    Completely agree with this.  Just bought a fenix 6 sapphire - not a cheap watch yet, one of the simplest functions on the watch doesn't work.  Can't even update it to get it working.  Seriously considering going back to the Apple Watch.

  • My weather is still not working and I still cannot update to 10.10. My weather was working just fine until my sensor hub updated. Incredibly frustrating to have so many issues on such an expensive watch.... 

  • 10.10 will fix the issue... the "issue" now is getting the update, should come today or tomorrow, i guess

    I have the 10.00 Beta version and it was working until few days ago. I had to turn off and on the watch (don't remember the reason now) and can't get it to work anymore. I hope 10.10 isn't just a rename of 10.00

  • Same for me. It’s annoying af that they break something and then they don’t offer the fix. I’ve been waiting for a week now and nothing happens... 

  • Please supply a download link for those if they have helped with development of v10, but now have non working weather as thanks.

    Fenix 6 Pro running on 9.0 ... since days no chance to make an update to 10.10.. not via connect neither via Garmin Express.. always says im up to date.

    Issues since the Hub Update:

    1. Weather not working anymore

    2. Battery time showing wrong after an activity.. it takes on the main screen the battery life for e.g. running (10h) ... even if the activity is already finished (it should show 10 days).. after restart its working

    3. suddenly, without any actions from my side the language of my fenix changed...

    its a joke that they are not bringing a update.. or say rollout is on 50% (message is 5 days ago from garmin).. so are they sleeping over the weekend to enable the other 50%.. current version is for the trash.. u cant ruin more.. so go for the rollout...

    the hub update was proposed to me 5 days ago.. since 24th of june they know the issue and havent stopped the further rollout of the hub update... and also till now no fix.. thats really poor
