I've done this with my f3hr for a long time with no side effects. I loosen the watch strap and wash my wrist underneath and then rinse. I now do this with my f6x Saphhire.
Do you do this? If not, why not?

Ok Everyone,
I have been trying to stay out of this thread since there so many great suggestions and I love seeing the forum community sharing ideas and helping one another but I need to jump in and ask…
I think your skin would break down long before the seals!
Absolutely no problem with replying to a five month old thread; that's preferable to starting a new one. However, any credibility you might have had from your experience with
numerous dive watches…
Me too. I put a suction cup hook on my shower wall, so as soon as I get into the shower I take the watch off, give it a good rinse with the shower water, and then hang it on the hook for the rest of the shower. I don't really like the idea of using soap on it all the time, seems like it could get soap residue buildup after a while, especially in the barometer port.
After shower, I just wipe it dry with towel, and put it back in my wrist.
Yes. And pool swim. And sea swim.
I don't, but it's not for fear of water damage. I have very hard water and have learned from previous watches that, no matter how well I think I've dried them off, I end up with white mineral buildups in the nooks and crannies. These start to become visible after a few months and are a pain in the butt to remove.
I use my shower time to top off the charge, which puts that the watch battery back up to 100% on most mornings.
I'm lucky if I get 2 steps from washing my hair lol! Or at least the place on my head where there used to be hair...
Sometimes. I've read (don't remember where) that soap and shampoo aren't best buddies with this kind of tech so i give it a rinse and sit for drying.
Interested to know how you keep it clean.
I remove it and wipe it down regularly and I do wash it; just not every day.
I rarely bath under 100 metres so I feel comfortable leaving it on.
Roughly the same for me and my F6X Sapphire. And my F5+ Ti before that. And my Pebble Time before that. And my Pebble Steel before that. And my Tissot Automatic before that.
Pretty much been wearing a watch 24x7 for 20 years, none have gotten water in them.
Before the Tissot, I had a Timex Ironman that died from water in the shower within 3 months.
You people are weird...
Just kidding, but I am surprised by the lack of people saying they take their watch off when showering.
I take my watch off, and if I've exercised then I rinse it under the tap and let it dry while I shower. I dunno, I find it weird wearing something on my wrist while trying to shower. To be fair my new Titanium model F6 is so much lighter than any other Fenix series watch I've had so I might not notice it in the shower.
