Weather widget not updating

Hi all, I’ve received yesterday my fenix 6 pro titanium. 
I’d like to know whether it’s just me or there are some update issue with the weather widget?

Yesterday while setting up for the first time the watch I could get weather widget info.

Todays I cannot get any into although it’s currently connected to my phone (Android) and I even tried to perform a couple of manual sync.

Anuone else?

  • It might help if you try one or both of these things.
    a) within Garmin connect mobile on your phone, sync up with the watch

    b) start the GPS acquiring as if you were going to start an activity.  Wait for GPS lock, then just exit out of the application.

    I've seen a GPS loc help update the internal "location" which can kick the weather app in the butt and start it working again.

  • My weather widget has not been updating for the last 4 days or so on my F6 Sapphire Ti.

    I guess everyone else is having this problem?

    I am having the same problem with my Fenix 5 Plus. So far I have worked through the following procedures and the problem remains unresolved:

    • Confirmed that I have version 4.25.2.1 of the Connect app which I understand to be the latest version.
    • Closed and reopened the Connect app.
    • Power cycled both the iPhone and watch.
    • Gone outside and got a GPS lock.
    • Performed a sync to ensure that the phone has connectivity to the watch.
    • Checked that location services are on, with the Connect app set to 'always allow'.

    The only thing I haven't tried is to remove and re-add the device to the Connect app, and I am very reluctant to do this as I am not tech savvy and this seems like a high risk procedure.

    Chris I have only had my fenix 6pro for 7 day and to my knowledge it's running the latest software as it updated not long after I powered it up. My Galaxy S8 is also running the latest Garmin  software but no matter what I do the watch displays

    the incorrect temp

    This issue is not resolved. Tried everything that is described here. Installed all the latest updates. Tried different watch faces but the weather is not updating. People are still complaining about this. Please fix this Garmin! This is ridiculous!

    Fenix 6 Solar. All current software. Tried everything. Still not working. Disappointing.

  • What I did  is I deleted Garmin Connect from the phone (iPhone Xs). Dowloaded it again, disconnect and reconnect bluetooth, pair the Fenix 6x sapphire again and it worked...just did a few minutes ago, but hopefully the issue is solved...

    This problem with the weather, for me started to happen since last week.

    Thanks for the suggestion! I did same and it’s the first solution that I’ve tried that actually worked! As my wife says, “when in doubt, shut it down - the computer that is!!) I should always remember to try this - delete and reinstall the App - first.

    Tried all of that. It will show the weather but the widget and the weather on my watch face will never update.
