Bluetooth and headphones

So, how are headphones doing with the 6?

I’m not seeing any threads so I’m guessing pretty good?

  • I agree the Aftershokz has great sound and features but on treadmill when I need to towel sweat from the back of my neck the connecting wire band gets in the way.  Otherwise all else is good.

  • Anyone tried using the new Apple AirPods Pro?  I'm considering purchasing a pair.  I have a Fenix6 and have loaded music onto it.  Wondered if anyone has experienced any issues with drop offs, pairing/connectivity, sound quality, etc?  Thinking about a pair..

  • The Jabra Elite 65t can be paired with the watch as a footpod as well, that's why you experience audio disconnects.

Go to the Sensors menu, pair the Jabra footpod, then when it's paired set its status to off. In that case when you start the Run application it won't search for the Jabra footpod and the audio won't disconnect either.

  • I paired my AirPods Pro's, no problem at all. Sound quality seems a bit lower compared to streaming the songs from my iPhone. The buttons on the AirPods work as well, incl. changing between noise cancelling and transparency mode. The only feature not working is auto-pause when removing one AirPods from the ear.

  • Thanks rolfsg.  I'm especially eager to try them out and not have wires to contend with.

  • Hi,

I have the same issue, did you manage to find a solution?

    Thanks,

  • That makes 3 of us with the same problem. See the thread “headphone shut down”. I can add that I use a $20 pair of bluetooth headphones (connected by wire behind the head, so not “true” wireless) and they have no problem. I plan to use those at the gym, though not as chic as the “true wireless.”  Thanks to those who report specific models that work fine, it helps with buying decision.
I have the latest software update for the watch. When using Aukey EP-10 true wireless earbuds while listening to Spotify music on the watch, after about 5 minutes I get a ”power off” notice in the earphones and they shut off.  As far as I can tell, the watch is still playing the music.  The headphones are fully charged. This has been consistent behavior. When I pair the Aukey headphones with my iPad there is no problem. They work fine and play as long as I like. Conversely, when I pair a Sony headphone to the Pro Solar watch, they work fine together and do not cut off prematurely. To restate the problem, I get a “power off” notice aurally in the headphones and they shut off with the watch-Aukey combination.  Naturally, such a combination is useless when working out. Imam reluctant to buy another headphone set for workouts, if there is an underlying watch problem. The Aukey use Bluetooth 5, A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP, SBC, and AAC.

  • Bose SoundSport free wireless (Firmware 2.8.0) and Fenix 6 Sapphire (left hand) are a good combination. No dropouts and perfect sound, especially the bas!

  • volume control directly on galaxy buds still not working on 6.0. Is there a plan to get out working?

  • Same headphones and has worked flawlessly on all firmwares.
