Pool swim distance tracking issue

Not that it will help you, but I did a pool swim last week with Epix 2 and 7.20. Had no issues, worked exactly the same way as my F6X.

I think reboot will help, I started pool swim activity and faked crawl moves and it tracked like 50m so should be good. Previously distance stayed at 0 m no matter the moves.

I've done several pool swims with my new Epix Gen 2 watch without any problems.  But this morning it did not record any distances.  Hopefully it is a one off.

I also experienced this problem once (out of several hundred swims) on my Forerunner 920xt.  But that watch was very old at the time and I assumed it was a sign the watch was dying (which triggered the purchase of the Epix).

Hopefully it is just a software glitch that only happens very rarely

I posted the same on another pool lap count issue forum. I too was doing fine for quite a few pool swims but two days ago after swimming for 20 min or so I glanced at the watch and much to my dismay the lap count was at zero. After restarting my watch it worked fine. Garmin recommends a restart prior to pool swims until the resolve this with a SW update.

I have the exact same issue. Usually I swim 1000m (20 x 50m laps).

No issue with my FR945, it always correctly records my pool swimming. Last week I got my Epix 2. First swim worked, similar results as my FR945. But now I only get "0" for laps and distance, even HR shows ridiculously low values. Only the total time is correct. Seems a SW error.

same issue today after some swims with no problem. Restarted the watch after the first interval then it worked again for the others

same issue here too. Epix 2 was recording swim data just fine but then stopped recording distance, strokes, and swolf the last 3 times I've swam. It's only recording time and then I have to manually enter the distance.
