Golf Course Issue

I have a Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2 51mm. My home course has an 9 hole and a 18 hole on Garmin Golf (which is also wrong because it has 9 holes but the back nine has different tees). When I start a round from my house( About 3km from my house) it only shows the 9 hole and 18 hole of my home course. No other courses. Isnt it suppose to show the 5 closest courses? Or am I mistaken. The closest course from my home course is about 50km from me. It does not show it when I start a round from my house. When I go into Garmin Golf app. It shows I can offline download that course.

Am I correct to think it should show 5 courses? Not just my home course? As soon as I get a chance to travel I will check again when I am further away from my home course.

Bike Trainer Being Controlled From Non Bike Activities On Second Watch

My better half and I both have Epix Pro and both have it connected to our bike trainer. I was using the trainer, controlled from my Garmin, and she started a treadmill activity on her watch and as soon as she did the trainer jumped to the 200 watts that Garmin defaults to. I had to send my desired wattage to the trainer to override the incorrect value her watch sent.

Clearly the watch should not be trying to connect to a bike trainer when the user selects a treadmill activity. Furthermore, if the bike trainer is turned on and I go to start a walking activity, the watch connects to the trainer (and presumably also sends 200 watts to the trainer when I start the walk activity).

Turn by Turn Navigation without sound alert BUT with vibration notification?

I tried everything (I think) but haven't found a solution yet..

Is it possible to use Turn by Turn Navigation without sound alert notification BUT with vibration notification?

Sometimes it's annoying with every turn that the sound notification beeps while cycling with turn by turn navigation.

I do like the vibration notification and that the screen will pop-up, but i don't like the sound notification.

I tried to turn off settings under audio notifications like 'audio tones' / 'activity warnings' / 'workout warnings' under audio notifications but that doesn't help.

Is there a way / workaround to fix this problem?

This must be a terrible hard thing to fix for Garmin programmers for this cheap and unimportant watch - EPIX 2 47mm Saphire. This issue lasts for a year now, since 22.06, literally obliterating my ears each time I start playing an mp3 from the watch. Huawei FreeBuds BT headphones. Shame on you Garmin for not being able to address at least this much.

Treadmill Run Updated Running Lactate Threshold. Why?

I did an hour on the treadmill this morning and at the end of the workout I was presented an updated Running Lactate Threshold screen. The update also appears in my Performance Stats. As I understand it, this should not happen (especially as the treadmill was at a 15 incline the whole time) - so why did this happen?

Because of surgery, I hadn't have activity for 3 months; the only thing I update the EPIX at version 26.09.
Last week, I started walking again and noticed that my tracks have these spikes where they used to be perfectly marked.
Has anyone noticed the same problem?

All tracks were recorded in multi-band. I've already tried turning the watch off and on when I noticed the problem on my first trek. Has anyone noticed this, or is it just me?

Bike Ride Counted as Steps

My watch has started counting my bike ride as steps. On the step widget in Gamin Connect, the bike ride is accurately depicted with the bike icon, but the duration of the ride is counted as steps.

Any fix to this?

Ending sleep manually morning report

When ending sleep manually the watch doesn't automatically go to the morning report.

i press the start stop button (top right) when waking which activates the end sleep question prompt. I click the start stop button again (top right) but instead of automatically showing the morning report it goes into the select activity menu. I have the click the back button (bottom right) to get the morning report to show up.

in the morning when waking the first thing I want to see is the morning report please can this minor issue be fixed.

Time sync problem

Hi,

I have a Garmin Epix 2 pro with the latest firmware and i experience sinds a long time problems with the time.

It seems my time is always +/- 10 ~15 sec. behind. If i preform a timesync with gps, i see the time is getting synct and the watch shows a green circle after syncing and the actual (correct) time, but if i leave the time-sync menu and go to the watch-face, i see still the old (wrong) time. Also, after starting a activity with GPS fix, the time on the watchface is nog synct.

I use the standard Garmin watchface, and i have this problem sinds a while and with serveral firmware versions. Now running the latest.

I hope someone has a sollution

Tides app on Quatix 7pro

Hi. The built in Tides app on my Quatix 7 pro shows incorrect times by a much as 90 minutes. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I set my phone(Samsung s22) to automatic time updates. No improvement. Could it be that the app has not been set for BST by the App engineers? I've pivot noticed the issue for a few weeks. Also the app will not permit me to set it for my local harbour which is Howth, Ireland but instead just sets it to 'County Dublin' . It's not accurate enough to use; and the main reason I bought it was for sailing.

Hope you can solve the issues.

I am having issues with 26.09 after the update from 23.18 to 26.09

my Up-Menu (Only happen when hold it down to access Watch face menu worked 60%) - (when press once to move up button work 100%) and Start/Stop buttons only work about 60% of the time when press.

I have to backdating back to 23.18 and all buttons work just fine.

Am looking for 25.11 firmware for this Epix Pro Gen 2 if there is one for it.

I have been using version 26.09 on my device since launch, hoping it would solve the critical bugs released in version 25.11 and previous ones:

Unfortunately, I can still reproduce most of those bugs, including crashes during navigation, music playback, and activities. On top of that, the round-trip routing function is completely broken now as well, despite being advertised as a key feature.

What can we do to get an accurate device and reliable software? Do we just buy a different brand like Coros or Suunto? When you pay flagship prices, you expect stable code, not to be a perpetual beta tester.

To make matters worse, Garmin is likely preparing to release the Fenix 9 soon. This means our current devices will get even less development time and support, if that is even possible. I don't have high hopes that this watch will ever work as advertised, yet I paid 1000 euros, 2.8 years ago.

Hi there ... I have the Garmin Golf Membership and have noticed that when I go to "view green" on the watch I am defaulting to Elevation Maps rather than Slope Percentage (difference here - Understanding Green Contours and Compatible Garmin Golf Products | Garmin Customer Support)

Question:

1. How do I cycle between these?

2. How to default to Elevation Map?

Intensity Minutes off

Hi,

can anybody verify that Intensity minutes are counting strange after last update?

Almost the same activity (running), two weeks ago and yesterday:

Heart rate, calories, training effect number etc. almost the same, yesterday not even a minute (completely missing that data). And every other activities in the last few days (a few with more effort), same thing - much less intensity minutes.

Last few weeks (and I'm doing very similar every week):

Android phone. Texts, emails, WhatsApp messages are not coming through all the time. Watch seems to have trouble keeping a connection to my phone. I've upgraded from a Fenix 5 to this and not once did I get any connection issues with the Fenix. Please help as this is one feature that I really rely on. What is going on, what needs to be done to fix this? Am I the only one with this issue?

My snoring wakes up my wife and I think it would be really cool if you could add an "Active Nudge" vibration feature added to my watch that triggers as soon as snoring is detected. Instead of just showing me my sleep data the next morning,

I want the watch to actually vibrate to make me change positions or wake me up slightly when I start snoring. It should include a toggle to turn it on or off in my sleep settings and a way to adjust the intensity so I can find the right vibration strength to nudge me without being too disruptive.

Hello !

I am annoyed after some updates which change our preferences automaticaly.

Why Garmin team in 2026 cannot keep our preferences ? It's not the first time.

Right now, I have serious problem with navigation when you choose "Go back to your start point' during Hiking or Trail run activity : It says "Maps do not have routable roads"

I was in the forest and It was dangerous because I trust my watch to get back me at home. I was often using this option

Why it says you're not on routable roads when you're in main forest path or official hiking road. Only car road are working while you're hiking or trail running !

I cannot figure out how to find it. I lost maybe 1 hour !

Please help me ! I will be in Mont Blanc in two weeks alone.

External HRM not detected when starting activity?

I have an Epix Gen 2, and run with a Polar H10 chest HRM. About half of the time when I start a running activity, I get a toast at the top of the screen saying "External HRM Connected." Half the time there's nothing, and the pre-activity screen just says "Auto-select" with an A in a box.

How can I tell if the external HRM is active in these cases, and why doesn't the toast always appear?

If I go into settings / sensors and accessories, it does show the H10 as "connected."

Back when I was running with a Fenix 6 Pro, I would ALWAYS get the "External HRM Connected" toast, so not seeing it now has me wondering.

Epix (Next Gen) + Garmin Dual‑HRM: Missing VO₂ Max & Inaccurate Wrist HR — Is This a Known Issue?

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to get some clarity on an issue that’s been affecting my training for several weeks now. I’m using an Epix (Next Gen) paired with the Garmin Dual‑HRM chest strap, and I’ve discovered that the watch will not record VO₂ Max or other advanced performance metrics when the chest strap is used.

Even when my rides meet all the published criteria for VO₂ Max (duration, intensity, HR stability, etc.), the Epix only updates VO₂ Max if I switch back to wrist‑based HR.

The problem is that the wrist HR on the Epix is extremely inconsistent for indoor cycling. I’m seeing:

• sudden 20–30 bpm jumps or drops within 1–2 seconds
• HR values that are physiologically impossible
• long periods where HR is 20–30 bpm higher than expected
• “Recovery HR” values that make no sense

This makes wrist HR unusable for training analysis, but the chest strap — which gives accurate HR — disables VO₂ Max and other metrics entirely.

I can’t find any documentation from Garmin stating that:

• VO₂ Max requires wrist HR
• chest straps are not supported for VO₂ Max
• advanced metrics won’t work when using a Garmin‑branded HRM

This feels like a major limitation that isn’t disclosed anywhere.

My questions:

1. Is this a known issue with the Epix (Next Gen)?
2. Is it expected behaviour that VO₂ Max won’t update when using a chest strap?
3. Are there any plans to allow chest‑strap HR to be used for VO₂ Max and other metrics?
4. Is there a workaround that allows accurate HR (via chest strap) and full performance metrics?

I’ve already contacted Garmin Support but haven’t received a response yet, so I’m hoping someone here — users or moderators — can shed some light on this.

After update 26.09 the watch keeps automatically ending the golf round.

After the update the watch ends the round as soon as the round is started. Is anyone else having the same problem?
