Data Field: All In One

The data field All In One integrates the logic of several of my data fields into 1 data field and gets the absolute maximum out of the available watch memory.

The functionalities which are available depend on the memory that is available on your watch for data fields. Because of memory limitations I also had to make some concessions towards configurability in favor of integrating more logic.

Connect IQ 1 devices (FR230, FR235, FR630, Vivoactive, Fenix3 (hr), D2Bravo (titanium), tactix Bravo, Quatix 3)

  • 5 customizable fields with 20 possible field options
  • ability to set up your preferences for 3 activity profiles (run / bike / other), so that you only need to store 1 connect iq field on your watch, yet are able to configure your profiles differently
  • Integration of Data Field: Fat Burner (fixed value per zone, no configurable zone values)
  • Integration of Data Field: Let There Be Light! (only enough memory to provide the choice between always on or always off)

Connect IQ 2 devices (Fr735xt, Fenix 5, Fenix 5s, Fenix Chronos, Fr935, FR645, Vivoactive 3, Vivoactive Hr, Approach S60) :

  • 5 customizable fields with 25 possible field options
  • abiltity to set up your preferences for 3 activity profiles (run / bike / other), so that you only need to store 1 connect iq field on your watch, yet are able to configure your profiles differently
  • abitlity to record metrics to fit file (defaults to off. When on the following metrics are recorded in the activity summary: fat burned, carbs burned, activity steps)
  • allow to change settings while field active
  • Integration of Data Field: Fat Burner (always interpolation method, no configurable zone values)
  • Integration of Data Field: Eat! Drink! Reminder! (up to 3 configurable alarms)
  • Integration of Data Field: Back To Start
  • Integration of Data Field: Elevation Grade (grade in percent, elevation grade not available on non barometric devices)
  • Integration of Data Field: Let There Be Light! (not enough memory to calculate sunset/sunrise, but instead you can opt to turn on the light before/after a certain reference hour)
  • Integration of Data Field: Steps Carousel (carousel of activity steps / goal completed percentage)

Connect IQ 2 devices with 128k memory (Fenix5x, D2Charlie, Descent Mk1):

  • All features of Connect IQ 2 devices specified above
  • Configurable Fat Burner
  • Extra graph for fat burned / carbs burned over the course of the activity (in addition to the value in the summary) so you can analyse after your activity where you burned most fat
  • Let There Be Light Setting allows to turn the light on between sunset and sunrise

Big Connect IQ 2 devices with 128k memory or more (Edge 820, Oregon 7, Rino 7, Edge 1000, Edge 1030):

  • All features of Connect IQ 2 devices with 128k memory specified above
  • Option to show Background image
  • Hi Eddy that indeed sounds suspicious. I only show whatever the connect iq framework provides to me.

one thing you could try is to reset your watch to default settings (deleting all personal data and settings) and then reinstall the data field.

in case that doesnt help let me know then I'll open a bug report.

  • Peter,

I've tried your suggestion and have gone through the soft-reset process (but not a hard-reset yet) I'm still seeing the same HR problem in not just your app, but other Connect IQ store data fields. I'm going to start a thread in the 3HR forum and see if anyone else is experiencing similar issues.

If it matters, the stock Garmin data fields that do provide HR are showing the "Average HR" as opposed to "Current" if that makes a difference for you?

Hey FastEddies_Garmin, I tried the following fields on my fenix 3 HR:

    All In One: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/6dec42e9-7fee-402b-95a4-a111e83d45e3
    Single Run: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/a520cc32-75b2-4b19-a97d-1079b931dc3d
    Single Run (Legacy): https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/0830f743-f75a-4171-ad86-a7f7deb0371d

I'm able to see HR data from the wrist HR monitor. I'm running the same device software version as you as well (4.90).

Are you able to set a "Current" HR datafield and what does that display? You said that the Connect IQ fields are displaying "0" and not "--" correct? Are you using the wrist based HR or are you using and external HR monitor?

    Thanks for your replies!

  • Thanks for the input Coleman. I'm just using the built-in optical HR, no external sensors. The options in RunnersField and All-in-one don't seem to allow a choice between current and average HR. I'm going to try and re- reinstall Single Run Field and toggle between the two.
  • Hello,
Just trying out this datafield on my new Garmin Edge 830.
    I got two problems.

    1) I can't set the first "Drink/Eat reminder"  If I set it it does not save but resets to the default "Drink 15 min". The second one works but not the first reminder.
    2) The HR-field color bar is not aligned correctly (See image below)

Otherwise its a very good datafield! Thank you!

  • 1. It's a problem of the Garmin Connect Mobile app (a Garmin bug, not in my hands to fix). If you use Garmin Express to edit the settings you will be able to empty the text.

    2. right, I'll look into it. I have a release planned soon for All In One, I'll try to squeeze in this fix.

  • testing it on my new fr945, and it sounds like the best datafield i have found so far.
But i don't find the distance value in the configuration fields ? Is this normal ?

    Thanks !

  • Because of very strict Garmin memory limitations field 4 & field 5 are not configurable and hard coded to distance & timer

  • There is no drop down options to use DIST or TIMER in any field selection drop down list (Garmin Forerunner 245).   DIST and TIMER appear in the initial download, but any change I do resets them and I can't get TIME or DIST back

  • should be fixed in the new 3.3.1 release
