Widget: Universal Widget & Universal Widget Light

NEW! My new Universal App is compatible with watch face complications, so it can be launched directly from a watch face (System 6 and touchscreen required):

At the moment Universal App can be launched from Glance Dual Screen only (besides launching it normally), but compatibility is coming to all my watch face apps.

Universal App has slightly reduced functionality compared to Universal Widget. Arc bars and colors selection are removed. If you already bought Universal Widget, you don't need to pay for Universal App - just use the same code.

This is a new approach to widgets, unlike anything else I saw before. I consider it an extension of the watch face screen. Whatever data you are missing on the watch face, you can put here and access it at one touch. There are some unique metrics too, not available on the watch face (widget is an app, so it can do more).

Some of the app's features highlights:

  • Weather: both, from Open Weather and Garmin Weather.
  • Heart rate, pressure, and altitude graphs.
  • All metrics (around 40 to choose from) are customizable.
  • 2 sets of long fields values (switched by pressing SELECT button).
  • Full colors customization - make it your own Slight smile !

The Pro version of the app has a limitited list of supported watch models - unfortunatelly it is related to the limited memory available to widgets on watches not supporting Music Unamused. 

However, the free Light version supports most watches. Due to a limited available memory (60K for widgets on a lot of watches), the Light widget has a limited number of features in it - see app description for a list of differences between Universal Widget and Universal Widget Light.

    I have a Fenix 8 47 AMOLED. In 2022, I paid for Glance Pro and Glance More Widget. Do my codes work for Universal Widget? If so, which one. How do add a complication to a face to load it? I have also bought Easy Round and Big Easy. easy Round is my all-time favorite especially with the Fenix 8. All the faces are unreadable. I wish there was a way to quick-switch between two faces. One for athletic activities and one for dress up events.

    You probably mean Universal Widget, not "Glance More" (which doesn't exist).

    You should install Universal App - it supports launching from the watch face. Use the code from Universal Widget.

    I have Universal App. How do I link it load from a watch face? It is loading undesirably from the Easy Roud face from the time field. The time field is meant to launch a second face with more data. I would like to have load from a different action/field. Plus, i have another face I would like to load it from. My goal is to have face for fitness activities and formal traditional face for business.

    I hope that all made sense. Universal Widget evidently is not compatible with the Fenix 8.

    In EASY Round Universal App is launched by pressing on Minutes, second screen by pressing on Hours.

    It is up to other developers to implement it.

    Universal Widget is discontinued and kept for compatibility with older watch models only. All new watches should use Universal App.

    "Re "In EASY Round Universal App is launched by pressing on Minutes, second screen by pressing on Hours." I just discovered that. Duh. Thought it was a glitch. I guess that is what "UA" is for in one of the Easy Round settings. But with Easy Round having 16 Fields UA might be overkill.
