With introduction of Garmin Pay, I am starting to add a new payment option for some of my apps. The system is not flexible enough to just add Garmin Pay to existing apps, so I'll publish a copy of an app, with the same functionality but Garmin Pay as the payment provider.

The first one out is Glance Ultra (a copy of Glance Dual Screen):

EASY Round

GLANCE WATCH FACE app won THE BEST NEW WATCH FACE APP OF 2022 ! At the Developers conference Garmin announced nominees and winners for the best apps in different categories. Glance Watch Face was nominated and won in the best new watch face category Slight smile! Garmin didn't post the video from the conference yet, but it was already reported by other websites: https://the5krunner.com/2022/10/12/garmin-app-watchface-of-the-year-2022-ciq-winners-and-nominees-announced/

The idea for this app is simple:
- Use only large fonts, so that all data are visible at a glance (hence the name of the app: Glance   )
- Put as much data on the screen as possible, without sacrificing font size above
- Make all data fields customizeable to your needs
- Make colors customizeable as much as possible, so users can create their own design

The "Glance Watch Face" app is 100% FREE - no hidden restrictions, nagging, or expiration:

There is also a mostly free app - BIG EASY: apps.garmin.com/.../86ec352b-da01-4806-8972-770c6d32a5e8

There are also two paid versions of this app - "Glance Pro":

and "Glance Dual Screen":

Paid versions are identical to the free version (so no worries, FREE doesn't mean bad!), but have a lot of extra features features:

  • Open Weather Map support
  • Setting for TIME font weight
  • New way to use shared color themes
  • Support for many new metrics (like Body Battery, Stress Level, and lots more)
  • Extra progress bars and Graphs (in Dual Screen only)
  • Two separate data screens (in Dual Screen only)
  • A lot more - see apps description for the full list
  • You have an opportunity (and a small incentive) to support the development Slight smile

Unique feature of the Glance apps - you can save your own Color Themes and quicly switch between them righ on the watch.

NEW: Now you can SHARE your Color Theme! You can also quickly apply Color Themes shared with you. Here is a full description of how it all works: https://www.mobiledriveway.com/glance.html#color

Here is the current Color Themes Gallery: https://www.mobiledriveway.com/glance_gallery.html

Color themes are compatible between "Glance" and "Glance Pro" (except for "inactive status icons color", which became obsolete in "Pro").

I'd love to see all color combinations you came up with. Please post your themes in the Reviews and I'll add them to the gallery!

Questions and suggestions are welcome!

  • V02 Max is available in Glance Dual Screen. Garmin doesn't provide HRV to 3rd party apps and Training Readiness is a string that doesn't fit anywhere in the glanceable design.

  • Garmin should buy and ship Glance Pro as the standard watch face - it's (still) the best!

    Happy Holidays!  ;-)

  • Hi, really appreciate your work on these watch faces.Currenlty I am using Glance Pro and Big Easy. Question about the always on display (AOD) dimming. Is there a possibility of implementing an option to manually set the duration of time before the watchface changes to the specific specific AOD option (i.e. L1: time only, L3: L1 + Middle metrics)?

For example, my Forerunner 265 has AOD enabled and set to dim after 15 seconds. However, your watch face dims after 10 seconds. I think it would be really cool if your watch face could be configured to different durations before the AOD is initiated.

Again, really grateful for your designs!

  • I'm using Easy Round pro and really enjoying it, though still working my way through all the possible combinations and options Laughing

I see there's a weekly run distance, and if it's feasible in a future version, weekly cycle distance would be a cool pro feature to add.

I know that both weekly run and weekly cycle distance are available on stock Garmin faces. Perhaps that means it's available within the system, and if you're pulling that weekly run distance from the system, perhaps you could pull weekly cycle distance the same way.

Anyway, I'm really liking it so far, and I'll let you know if any other ideas occur to me as I feel my way around over the next few weeks Thumbsup

Try "Universal App" - it is a watch face extension type app and it does have the weekly cycling distance.

  • Cool, I'll check it out Thumbsup thanks

  • I am loving this watch face.  Keep up the great work!!!

Though, I am having one issue.  I have the bottom field set to OWM Diagnostics, Weather Prover set to Open Weather Map, and have added the OW Map API key.  However, all I see in the bottom field are numbers in the the following format:  5:5:5 or 11:11:11, and occasionally, 6::6.  If I set the weather provider to Garmin the field becomes blank.  Any thoughts on why neither weather provider results in the field correctly populating?

    Note: I have a Forerunner 965

  • Hi there,

Been using Big Easy on my Forerunner 255S for a week now and absolutely love it. However, this morning the "Move Bar" stopped showing and the Body Battery is showing "NO $". Are these paid features?

UPDATE>>> Move bar is now showing after turning the watch off and back on again.... but Body Battery still shows "NO $".
