Hello. I will soon release a new version that includes the new design and supports more watches.
Yeah, that's sad. I really wish for Garmin to get back on the tracks.
Don't worry, I will support the Fenix 7 series. I'm even thinking about buying one for myself to replace my old Fenix 3. Even if…
I'm not sure custom fields can work with beta versions. Have you already tried with previous beta versions? Anyway, I need to adjust the code of the app for ConnectIQ 7, and I will be able to release a new version only when ConnectIQ 7 is released (currently, it's only in beta).
Even in beta IQ data fields can write data into the activities summary, I'm on beta and "tx activity steps" put all the info in.
Bug report:
Garmin recently rolled out update 18.22 for the Forerunner 265 (not sure which other devices received a similar update).
Since the update, the Badminton app no longer stores the set points in the activity file (at least, it doesn't display them). It does still accumulate the total points scored, which is still displayed in the Stats tab. But the individual sets scores are no longer recorded.
Here is the screenshot of the Laps tab. You can see dashes in place of any scores for the sets.
For reference, this was a singles game being played with Endless sets.
And here is the related Stats page showing the total points still working.
Hope this helps.
EDIT: Hotfix 18.23 has been released, but the problem above still persists.
Current F7 beta stopped recording IQ data.
Yeah it's such a shame. Hope a fix can be found because otherwise it's a great app.
Hello.
I've finished updating the app's code for ConnectIQ 7, but I'm holding off on releasing a new version until the platform stabilizes.
Specifically, Garmin has introduced issues with the ConnectIQ 7 testing framework, making it impossible to run automated tests on my application. You can find more details about this problem here: https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/f/discussion/366573/test-assert-test-assertequal-test-assertequalmessage-don-t-throw-exception
Issues with IQ data fields not being able to store data in fit files have been fixed for multiple devices. I think that would also fix the issue with scores not being recorded.
