Use a light on dark theme for better outdoor readability.
Use high contrast to make information pop when on screen.
Don’t depend on the display always remaining on

Is does mean that I can use white color (for example for background) and it won't be treated as burning?

Or I have to have black background in low power and I can have white background in high power?

Things depend on the type of display. MIP displays, colors don't matter, but for AMOLED/OLED they do.

I know it, but why Garmin "promote" "Use a light on dark theme for better outdoor readability"==use_white_colour in section AMOLED if it's bad for screen.

Let see my example device usage:
uptime:2d:21:34
lowpower: 2d:16:15
high power: 5h (I'm run with gps on)

Of course in this 5h there is for example 0.5h for watching on screen beside on acivity. Can I offer in my wf white theme for amoled display? You know, I have to devote time to write this code so I can write something else instead of it.

That's for MIP displays, and was likely written before AMOLED/OLED watches.

Surely “light on dark” means white text on black background?

Not sure there is a more AMOLED friendly scheme than that other than dark grey text on a black background.

In this context, when Garmin says "light on dark theme", they mean "dark theme". "Light" refers to "light text" and "dark" refers to "dark background".

If that's a watch face, have you tried both when you have low power checked in settings for an AMOLED or OLED device?

Also, on a venu SQ, I'm not sure I'd use any font much smaller than 25 pixels high, as while it might be 240x240, the screen itself is smaller than other devices

ok,no light theme on amoled

I know that font is a little small but I'm no choice if I want to show a lot of information. If I can see numbers most can see too - young eyes :)

This is a simple port from bigger wf I haven't yet enough time to correct it but still working on.

Garmin doesn't want to be inform about errors and bug or my person was treated as spammer?
