Hello,
As many here, I wonder when will Garmin produce/implement a widget or a functionality to control a GoPro remotely. GoPro has opened his source code something so...come on...just work on it. this would be a nice added value.
Thanks.

I made an app for my Fenix 7X with the system 7 (QIC 5.0) sdk and beta 16.10 firmware and it works!
Got a pair/bond done on my gopro 12 and shutter on/off command send.
Now waiting for a good working simulator…
I notice theres already a hotkey (for supported watches) called GoPro Camera Control, not sure if everybody have it, i have it (im in beta enrollment) however seems it does nothing on click.
Will the Garmin…
My first try co connect and control

4810187 indeed, it's already fixed in the version that's going to be released. It's because I set the settings field to number, but need to pad it with 0s when it's shorter than 4 characters.
Regarding the crash with a GoPro 12, it's due to differences in the way profiles are sent by the camera. unfortunately I don't have a GoPro 12 to try out, but I'm adding some debug methods that would send anonymized logs to one of my services so I can see the exact content of the message received by the camera and fix the bugs. Will release this today or during the weekend
Got the new update. Turned on debugging and sending of logs. Now it's stuck on the "Searching for Gopro 0905" screen, and at the bottom says "Starting scanning for GoPro registered:" and not connecting to the GoPro. Any thoughts?
Hi, maybe I overlooked, but will there be support for older gopros too? I have a gopro black 5 and would love to see support!
Hi 4810187, I released a few fixes and you should be able to connect now. The datafield still crashes with GoPro 12 but I know why. A fix is coming during the day (it will be in v0.0.18. I can't update now due to Garmin servers issues)
Hi 7600252, unfortunately the OpenGoPro APIs (https://gopro.github.io/OpenGoPro/) only supports GoPro Hero9 and newer. So there's no way to make it work with your camera :( Sorry !
Seems like its working so far. A question on if this is (1) the intended behavior, (2) something I'm doing wrong, or (3) something else is wrong: Whenever I restart the gopro, I am having to go to the pair device menu in order for the edge to connect to it. Is that how it is suppose to behave? I thought I had read somewhere that after the first connection it would automatically link up in the future, but maybe I had imagined that.
Would it be possible to add Edge 830 to supported devices too? I'd love to test it out, I have a GoPro Hero9.
