GoPro Remote!

Hello,

As many here, I wonder when will Garmin produce/implement a widget or a functionality to control a GoPro remotely. GoPro has opened his source code something so...come on...just work on it. this would be a nice added value.

I made an app for my Fenix 7X with the system 7 (QIC 5.0) sdk and beta 16.10 firmware and it works!
Got a pair/bond done on my gopro 12 and shutter on/off command send.
Now waiting for a good working simulator…

I notice theres already a hotkey (for supported watches) called GoPro Camera Control, not sure if everybody have it, i have it (im in beta enrollment) however seems it does nothing on click.

Garmin self probably never. That's rather a task for a 3rd party Connect IQ app, or for GoPro themselves. Have a look at the following app, and see whether it can help you. If not, wait whether somebody else picks your idea up.

Hi. Thanks for the info. GarmPro is unavailable for me (I'm in Belgium and it won't show up in the IQ Store) plus it seems the developer (Thanks to him btw) didn't work on it anymore since 2019...so ..yeah, that's a no go... Too bad. But Thanks.

Your country does not matter, but the app must be compiled for your watch model. If the developer did not touch it since 2019, then any newer models are not supported. You can contact the developer, and ask him to add the support for your watch model too. Normally it is not difficult and can be done quickly, but if he did not use the SDK since a few years, then it may be more complicated. I recommend to contact him anyway. You can even ask him whether he would share the code, if he does not intent to maintain the app, and either work on it yourself, or ask someone else to do it.

Any news on publishing your app. I have a fenix 7 sapphire solar and would highly appreciate it. Can you share the code or compiled app if you did not manage to push it to the store?

***, you have good eyes. Had to watch it 4-5 times to see it… gotta get glasses! Way to go Garmin, waiting for this to be in the next round of beta stuff you release.
