Our engineering team is actively working on this issue. It has been given a high priority and we hope to have a permanent solution available soon.
A workaround that worked for me was change one of the planned workouts a little (added 1sec to a training) and then is wants to upload all planned workouts again. This solved the problem for me at least…
The solution is much simpler, and was mentioned many times in this thread, as well as in many other ones about similar topics. Simply add any dummy workout (it can be completely unrelated to the coach…
Update: As suggested by one of the post, I added one second to tomorrow’s schedule run on my Garmin app and synced again. Now the workouts for the rest of this week show up in the training calendar my…
Same here - still no apparent way of syncing a workout schedule other than deleting it entirely, re-starting it and then (manually) re-syncing using the cable/Garmin Express app. Surely this should just sync from the mobile app to the watch in real time so that users don't have to do this every month or so? If that still doesn't work despite the stated "high priority" fix then why can't the "sync calendar to device" button be reinstated? Bizarre that this is still an active issue months after this original post - this is a key feature of the device and the reason people pay the money to buy it.
This has been an ongoing problem. They fix it and then it appears again. It's very annoying. I've spent time in online chat, email and on the phone with Garmin. Some of the reps know about the problem. Others don't and recommend trying different things. The problem is that the functionality for sending calendar workouts to devices simply disappears. It happens on the site and the app. I get the sense that nobody at Garmin fully understands this. I just wish they were better at communicating it...maybe putting a notice on the site and app when the functionality goes down. It would save everybody a lot of time and frustration because obviously everyone's first inclination is to try to do something differently to make it work. This ends up being a waste of time because the functionality is simply gone until they fix it.
Nothing devious. They are having problems with this functionality and have been for a long time (more than a year). The feature works for a while and then it stops appearing. Some people at Garmin know about this. Supposedly it's a priority. If that's true, it must be a hard to find bug and it's particularly strange that it comes and goes over time. At the very least, when the "Send to Device" feature disappears from the site and the app, Garmin should provide a notification letting us know that the feature is down with an estimated time for when it will be fixed. It's crazy that so many users are left thinking they're doing something wrong. This forum and many others are filled with confused users.
Garmin engineering, this issue is back. It has been a problem on and off for months. Can we get some solid communication on this? The users spent a lot of money on their watches and they're getting restless.
I am having the same issue with my vivoactive 3. It is extremely frustrating to have this issue come up time and again. I was told that the sync button on the calendar was purpsoely removed but instead of it working like it's supposed to, it doesn't work at all again. I had to go online, delete my training program and re-enter it to get my training calendar back. I don't feel like that's a good solution to this issue.
A workaround that worked for me was change one of the planned workouts a little (added 1sec to a training) and then is wants to upload all planned workouts again. This solved the problem for me at least for now.
Hope it helps you out as well.
Good tip.
Works also on my 645.
Awesome! That worked on my Fenix5.
Thanks.
