Garmin starting loop?

My watch froze so I turned off the watch, when I turned it back on the Garmin logo came on followed by the question 'Clean User Data'

Select Yes - screen goes blank followed by the Garmin logo and then the same Clean User Data question

Select No - question disappears and then comes straight back.

Basically I can't get past this stage.

I have tried all combinations of reset all do nothing. Any help would be greatly recieved.

is one of your right buttons not working or stuck ?

All buttons seem to be working ok and feel correct.

what happens when during a restart you press and hold the down button ?

is it entering the service menu ?

Yes it will enter the service menu but I am unsure what to do in this mode?

you can check the buttons and have a look at the memory checksum notice

similar trouble ...up-button-not-responding

at first view, looks like your down button is stuck or boot software failure

in the test menu

look for memory error on the first test screen

while in the test menu you can check if your buttons are functioning

press the lower right button until a screen with dots representing your buttons appears

pressing a button changes the dot colour to filled or empty

when down button works

call Garmin Support by phone and tell them about your mishap

Thank you, I will try this and let you know the results, it will be a couple of days as I am currently away on holiday.
