Software start-up failure, test screens appearing

I found this video of a gentleman in Brazil having the exact same issue that I have.
I have tried hard resets that normally should reset the watch to factory settings, but nothing works, just these test screens re-appearing.

at first view, looks like your down button is stuck or boot software failure

    in the test menu

look for memory error on the first test screen

while in the test menu you can check if your buttons are functioning

press the lower right button until a screen with dots representing your buttons appears

pressing a button changes the dot colour to filled or empty

    when down button works

call Garmin Support by phone and tell them about your mishap

    happy & safe trouble shooting

  • You are right, My down Burton is stuck/nor functioning and I can fI’ll all the dots on that test screen except the down button.

    how do I fix that?

it is stuck...that is why it goes into the test menu

soak your watch in a lukewarm light soapy water bath Wink

manipulate your button light pressing it (out of the water)

    when no result

call Garmin Support by phone and tell them about your mishap

    happy & safe sporting

  • On the button test screen (the one the Brazilian guy is on as in the video above), press each button until all the dots are black then press and hold the backlight button. That should reset the watch.
